"A long awaited surprise. In Brooklin there have been 3 myths that have eluded mankind. Are we alone in this universe? Is there life after death? And will the 1847 Bistro open? <br/ <br/ Over 2 years now I have anticipated this mythical opening. The stories surrounding this establishment had it the topic of conversation every couple months. There were rumours of fortune as well as rumours of tragedy. These tales increased my interest even further. This is the first restaurant I have had the pleasure of anticipating that was so shrouded in mystery and expectation. In the end I was worried that it would not open or that an impossible standard had been set that could never be met.<br/ <br/ I may never know if we are alone in the universe or if there is life after death but I can say with surety that the Bistro is indeed open for business.<br/ <br/ I have now had two visits to this establishment and found that both visits have surprisingly exceeded my expectations. Not only did the mystery increase with intended lunch and special introductions from an obviously gifted chef. I was also given a tour of a beautifully built patio that is intended to launch this summer with live entertainment. I cannot wait!<br/ <br/ The building is beautifully decorated and we had the pleasure of meeting two of the owners who came by to introduce themselves and request feedback. How refreshing! I found it created a comfortable atmosphere immediately. The service we received was exceptional as well. Our servers Danielle and Adam were both light hearted, charming and attentive. They made the whole experience very pleasant. <br/ <br/ On our first visit we had intended just to sample a couple appetizers. Six appetizers (and one belt notch) later we had full intentions of coming back to order entrees. The food was incredible. Everything we tried was well balanced with an excellent presentation and cooked to perfection. The chef is obviously very talented and did an excellent job with the menu.<br/ <br/ On our second visit we went with friends and all intentionally ordered different entrees just so we could sample as much as possible. We have now sampled half the menu and have yet to be disappointed. We have full intentions of sampling all the other dishes. It is a credit to the chef that I plan on eating no where else until I do so. <br/ <br/ The chef at 1847 may very well be the best kept secret in Whitby and he is located in Brooklin of all places. A must try for food lovers."

"We went to Bella Notte to celebrate my 50th birthday. Both the food and the service were outstanding and we had a wonderful time. We enjoyed starters of tomato crostini, pane e formaggio, deliciou Burrata, Caprese Salad and Shrimp Limoncello. We followed with the Pasta Rustica, Salmon Filet, Branzino special, Short Rib special, Egg Ravioli with beef, and a dozen and 1/2 of oysters. Everything was incredibly delicious and served to order. *We did not partake in their dessert as they allowed us to bring in a cake. The servers were very just the perfect level of attentive. I would highly recommend Bella Notte for a celebratory dinner or just a night out for dinner. It's priced just right, the food is outstanding and the atmosphere is welcoming."

"The Lake Grill is truly a hidden gem in south Whitby. Always friendly. Accommodating for food likes and dislikes. Gourmet flavors made with expertise. Food is served HOT and fresh. Tasty and beautifully plated. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone."

"Ordered on Good Friday, which is usually crazy busy, but rec’vd it within an hour and even did a change to my order.Fish was amazing, best fish and chips! Family of 5 and not a bite left over!Highly recommend!"

"As always this place was amazing with their food and service. *HalalMenu* is really good i like chilli chicken and chicken mushroom portobello i like to replace my noodles with rice they happily fid that. You can ask to replace veggie’s with salad if you like. Love the steak and the price is well managed too. I was glad that we were i formed everything is made separate grill fryer tongs dishes everything is separate. Even the chef comes early to marinate everything. I appreciate the effort milstone has made for our community."
