"The tavern is a cellar restaurant that brings great cocktails and a superlative eating program that is sure to please both their spirits and likes. we found the trinidad sour to be our favorite drink of the night, with the hot toddy close to the tow. Do not miss the littleneck whispers, crispy wings and mac and cheese. unexpectedly the airline chicken peking and teriyaki aromen had us enchanted. the Lachs-Entree meets all cylinders as the threshold of the night. Finally, the best and greatest part of the night was the exclusiveity of glen a.k.a stardust, a wonderful server that complicated our night as perfect as a san diego sunset."

"This restaurant is beautiful inside! The staff was very friendly and timely. We enjoyed cocktails and the Jumbo Shrimp cocktail to begin our meal. It was a lot for three of us to share. The shrimps were fresh and crisp and nothing less than we expected! Our party ordered the Prime Ribs in 10 ounces and 18 ounces and the swordfish. The cuts of Prime Rib were delicate and tasteful. Just beautiful cuts of delicious beef! The swordfish was tender, but fleshy. All dishes were presented beautifully! Wonderful! We enjoyed our meal with rolls and asparagus. I highly recommend this restaurant for its delicious menu and professional staff! We often eat fine restaurants throughout the nation (and some parts of the world). This restaurant is up there with the best!"

"I booked this for New Year’s Eve a few months ago and forgot about it until yesterday On reading the reviews they seemed to vary from very very positive to very negative so we were not sure what to expect During 2022 I have probably eaten out about 200 times mostly in SoCal Turned up 5 minutes early and promptly shown to upstairs table not too close to others but tight enough In a European restaurant would have been normal. Older building to look at while we waited for waiter Prompt enough service throughout from totally bi lingual waiter who was serving table next to us in fluent Spanish Said he hated it as a kid but now it’s very useful Food quality. Fillet perfectly cooked, French onion soup with Gruyère also good as was the chocolate Mousse dessert On the food quality the Caesar salad was OK. The Parmesan was more like the Kraft Parmesan vs newly shredded but the salad was good enough Sambucca and Wine were a standard pour It was perfectly good overall and pricing was fair for SoCal on NYE Are we going back for a second night tonight…no….but if we were here for a week I would probably give it a 2 visit rating"

"It seems that people have either a great experience or a not so go experience. Our lunch was great. 30min are waiting for space for short staff. We sat on the terrace for the city view. The waiter was great. The food was great. We ordered a bowl of lobster bisque, the shrimps Cobb salad and a few burgers. The lobster in the bisque was fresh and not precooked. The salad was great. The burgers were good too. The avocado was almost half in the burger. A great experience. We definitely come back when we're in town."

"Worst eating experience I've ever had. my friend and I had valentine dinner reservations at 8. we waited for 30 minutes to even visit us a waiter. as soon as we have ordered, 2 hours past, we have not yet received our food or even drinks. After we've seen countless tables, we'll come and go ahead. I never had this level of respect before, profiling to his best."

"A fabulous spot for food quality, service and ambience. Love the ice cold martinis and the quality of the various cuts of steak, with a choice of steak knives—classy touch. Dallas was our waitress last eve and she is awesome—experienced, warm, and knowledgeable! She made our dining experience very special. Indeed. the entire staff is very welcoming. We keep returning-it’s our fav restaurant in Coronado! We’re New Yorkers and love food; we’ll miss this special foodie haven"
