"Beautiful restaurant.. good service. The food I found was a let down though albeit with an excellent showing from the starters. Pig Trotter and scallop dishes were well cooked, presented beautifully with seasoning that was spot on.Unfortunately it went down hill rather quickly. No salt was to be found on the table setting.. we discussed this at the table as a sign that the kitchen obviously feels that they will have the seasoning at an adequate level. They were right, we didn’t need salt- everything was over seasoned- everything. Baby potatoes offered gratuitously were left behind as they were basically inedible due to such high seasoning. The chips were not far behind this either. I tasted the beef dish- although excellent quality and well cooked- the braised element of the dish was also inedible. I had the lamb dish. Rump ? Michelin star ? Overcooked ? PoorThe sweetbread served with the dish had not had its membrane removed there was an unpleasant snap having cut into it.Desserts of soufflé the chocolate tuille to house the ice cream on top of the soufflé was burnt.We had drove a long way to dine here, with quite an elderly unfussy family member- so we refrained from comment. Would not return"
