"Exceptional dining experience as always, not cheap but hey, only live once. We were unaccustomed to the automatic 20% gratuity but once it was explained, all good. My wife enjoys lobster on her birthdays, she said this one was the best so far, Nova Scotia I believe. The rose petals on the table for her birthday was a welcome surprise. The flaming beef medallions were to die for. Valet parking was effortless."

"Rue is a nice restaurant, with a large variety of very high quality, contemporary, French-inspired food. the menu is small, and is rotated out regularly based on what's fresh and in-season. The focus here appears to be on quality and freshness. You'll find a few French classics on each menu (such as roasted sweetbreads), but the rest of the items tend to fuse other styles into something completely new. The staff are all incredibly friendly, fast, and competent. While not the best French food I've had in Portland, Rue's fare is better than most."

"Our reservation for 10 was lost when we arrived. Our group was still sitting on a big table for 10 and when the waitress came, we were told that the restaurant was supplied with only 2 chefs for our food to be delayed. We were also told that a number of employees did not appear to work. Service as a whole was bad and our waitress was crisp at times when we ordered and published. I ordered Cesar Salat and it was the worst Cesar Salat I ever had. Basically it was romaine lettuce with some croutons. The dressing tasted like a fishy, watery mayonnaise. There were neither parmesan nor other cheeses. I paid extra for chickens under season and the part was small. I will not return to this Shilo restaurant for dinner or other meals in the future."

"This place always knocks it out of the park. We have been fans since the beginning at 28th and Pine. High quality sashimi, Uni never disappoints. Service is great. Atmosphere is amazing.
