"Effes used to be the best buy as of late have lacked in the quality front. Ordered today and it was OK, better than the last time but still not up to the standard they once were. The food was pretty good for a late...night meal but the quality was not good enough pitta was a little dry but quite greasy, the meat had obviously been reheated. "The meat is very good however the sides are not the best. Frozen chips and deep fried mushrooms don't belong with the quality of steak. The same bit of side salad accompanies every meal also, starters and mains. Could be so much better with not much extra work."

"5 of us came as an early birthday present this Thursday and it was worth every penny. Food was done perfectly. The waitress (who’s name we sadly didn’t catch) was the best server you could ask for. She was blonde and wore a black face mask, and could not have done more for us despite our constant irritating back and forth orders. If there was anyone that’s ever deserved a raise, it’s her. So thank you for the night, it was great!"

"Before my partner and I set off back to oxford, we stop here for a bite to eat for the long journey. The food was amazing, full of flavour, position size was more than for to finish. we tried didn't want to waste food. The service was great, quick, friendly. just the way I like it. I didn't catch the guys name who serviced us, but he had blonde hair and cool Black Boots! ^ ^ can't wait to visit Southsea again, will be coming back here again."
