"Amazing food and great staff. I got the hake which was so fresh and cooked to perfection. My other half got the steak, he is fussy on how it is cooked and he was delighted with it. Will definitely return."

"We stayed here for 3 nights, the room was clean with a comfortable bed and pillows. The bathroom was also clean and had lovely towels and toiletries supplied. Breakfast was exceptional, Caroline ensured we had all we wanted with her fabulous Irish welcoming to every guest aged 0-100+. The waiters/waitress staff in the restaurant could do with some training from Caroline. They seemed very new to the trade, looking uncomfortable in the environment. I did laugh when I heard a table of 4 American visitors ask what the soup of the day was, the Waiter told them he couldn't remember, but it began with a C'! The same visitors were then served their meals but didn't have any cutlery to eat it with until attention was drawn to a different waitress who duly apologised to them when she brought it to the table. Sorry but this was the only entertainment we got. There was no evening entertainment in the hotel over the week-end which we stayed"

"Lady who greeted us was not the most welcoming, we stated we had made a booking and she seemed very inconvenienced even though the restaurant was totally empty?? She looked us up and down and said “guess they’re just taking any bookings now” and showed us to our table. We felt a little judged and unwelcome. However the rest of the meal was fabulous and the other staff were extremely kind and accommodating, chatting to us about our stay and so on. Really enjoyed the sea bass we ordered. Just a shame to receive a not so warm welcome, maybe some more training needed on that front. Would have been 5 stars if that lady was just a bit kinder."
