"Horrible. Dry. Bland. Yuck. Don't bother. Ordered a battered sav, scallops and a coffee. Took 15 mins. Coffee burnt my mouth. Battered sav was dry and bland. And the scallops tasted old and carboardy."

"Don't be fooled by all those photos, that's what we looked at and was like yep let's go there. But when we got there the place was dead, you could hear the chefs and staff all in the back yelling talking. My partners food the seafood tasted like it was had been sitting in the freezer for years and the deep fryer oil was still dripping off the gross calamari that was served. The chips came out warm and not crispy. And then my salmon was only cooked on top but all inside was cold and uncooked and the skin was not crispy and watery.I told the chef and he was lovely enough to cook me another one. However when the next one came out it had no seasoning on it and was agin watery but tasted like he finished it in the microwave. And by that time I'd already finished my salad and chips were too cold to eat. The staff were lovely. But was just so disappointed by food. Wasted a good night there."

"Havent been here in 5 years, returned today for lunch and still amazing. Friendly and helpful staff. The food was amazing, fish was so light and moist, the batter flakey and the chips where the best we have had in a while. Dont change anything guys doing a fantastic job."

"Blank Canvas used to be our favourite restaurant in Bateman's Bay and when it reopened after Lockdown, we were delighted and couldn't wait to return The food was still good, but maybe not as good as it was, the service friendly and excellent ....However, on checking our bill later I discovered we had been charged for the extra plate we requested. This left a really bade taste and we will hesitate to visit again as we often share a main course. I have checked this out with a few other cafes that we visited to se if this was a new post-Covid regular charge and all said no, and were astounded. This is really bad customer relations and I hope the new proprietors will take note that this grabbing of an extra is not worth the bad PR will it will create."

"I paid $22 for the chicken burger, chips and gravy. They did not disappoint, with what I would consider a near perfect burger, fantastic chips and thick gravy. All served with the utmost politeness.
