"We strolled along the main street and decided to choose Le Josephil for our evening meal while on holiday. We couldn't have chosen any better!At first the service was a little slow, but the staff was busy with a full compliment of diners out on the patio for this Tuesday evening. The setting was very nice with the river in front of us and Mont St. Hiliare and the church on the other side. Very majestic scene.We each ordered a main meal. Mine was the fish and chips and hers the risotto aux pleurotes. Both meals were very nicely prepared and presented. The owner was very nice to chat with and we do recommend this restaurant to everyone."

"I am a TOP contributor and you will find all of my reviews fair and factual. It saddens me to say that this used to be one of my favorite places in Beloeil for dinner with my customers. I know that EVERY restaurant can have...a bad day or two, so in the last 6 months I have given them three tries, and all three were strike-outs. The servers, the quality of the food and the timeliness and attention to detail have been on a steady decline for about 1 year. My last experience was with reservation, party of 8, a business dinner. The server was polite, but had too many tables to handle, and the kitchen was overwhelmed on a VERY light dining room load. Our experience this night included 6 of the 8 meals having incorrect side dishes, steak temperatures were nowhere near consistent, then when the creme brulee came right out of the refrigerator to table without even being properly glazed. Coffee was served barely warm and appeared to have been reheated. Until I see otherwise from the reviews I can no longer recommend this establishment."
