"After a wait of over one hour in a full cafe breakfast arrived lukewarm sausages no tomato as advertised on menu under cooked eggs and oil soaked hash browns we had a reasonable breakfast the week before even though that was a minute...wait we will not be going again M and S see u next Sunday"

"Plaice was inedible, oil was clearly not hot enough and poached rather than fried. I pushed my fork onto the soggy batter fat ran across the plate. Even the spatula I used to plate up was congealed with fat afterwards. Disgusting. We got takeaways from here once every month and it used to be great. Not sure what has happened, but safe to say we won’t be returning. If the owners want to dispute this, I have photos of the levels of fat soaked ‘food’. I knew unwrapping my fish it was going to be rubbish, so clearly the person who wrapped it also knew that didn’t care. Why wait for freshly fried if they can’t fry it properly or be bothered to get the oil to temperature. It’s not rocket science. Interesting to learn about the 3 star hygiene rating too, it’s not hard to get 5, just requires giving more care and attention."

"My orginal review stating the service was bad and the chips soggy with grease,got removed.After a long drive we were passing and couldn't be asked to go to maccy d or anywhere else,we took the plunge here again.SORRY nothing changes.still poor serve and greasy chips.If the owners don't like a genuine review,maybe they need to look at how they are operating.Gone downhill in last 2 years here."

"It was really nice. Cocktail list is a bit underwhelming which makes the price of them disappointing....I didn't bother getting one as all abit to run of the mill Staff were lovely but super stressed so I took a star off in the hope the boss gets more staff. They clearly need it."

"My husband and I took our daughter for lunch today. We were made very welcome on arrival and chose to eat in the conservatory as the sun was shining. A delightful young lady called Toni cleaned our table, took our orders at the bar for food and drinks, brought our cutlery, then our food , then popped back to see if everything was ok, which it was. Our meals were fantastic, all freshly cooked and very reasonably priced. All in all a great lunch. Our thanks go to Toni who made the experience so personal. Will definitely go again."

"Though the servings were ample I thought the cod and chips were very greasy. Having just arrived in the UK for the first time two days ago it was very inconvenient not being able to pay with a credit card. We could not get the online app to accept payment. After one hours wait and an expensive transaction at an ATM machine we finally received our greasy food."
