"These young really go beyond and beyond this chippy! we ordered some of the vegan dishes by just eat and were quickly called from the shop to let us know that they were offered from the camp and alternatives. my man and I decided that we will leave it and be asked for a refund, and the manager ky could no longer be obliged. we then looked at what else we could eat when ky called us back and said that he could send a driver to billericay to bring what we had ordered, bring it back, cook it and then deliver to us! (we had previously said we would collect) we were honestly blown away from this geste and within 40 minutes after the call our piping hot meal could not ask!"

"My partner dropped me at this pub to go for a drink while he was working around the corner. The toilet was just when you walk in, so i thought to use it first. This guy run shouting that I can't use the toilet and opening doors to the cubical WHILE I was on a toilet. Couldn't squeeze a word into his rant! Even if I would not have intented to buy anything, who does that? How miserable (and bored) you have to be to do that?? Service: 1"

"Had never had a bad eating of chris' and tonight was worth mentioning. I had the cod and they were perfect. I do not understand the negative reviews here unless they are from owners of other local chippies. all reviews on the local FB sites were positiw. the only negative was when deliveroo was used. when I used deliveroo at chris', they didn't even collect my order and when I called the personal, it still said on the theke. not chris' error, but I will always use chris' own delivery service now (and it's cheaper:"

"Brilliant service on large order for 36 people placed a few days before . Arrived at the appointed time on a Friday night to find the staff just finishing our order. Fish , chips and sausages were all of good quality and we did get a great deal on the price . Would recommend ."

"It's set up as a fast food take-out. But honestly: It's also nice to sit and dine there. And chat with the owner, e.g.. It has 2 doors: One from St. Thomas Rd. and one from Moore's Pl.. Choose whichever you prefer. They are producing among the best Fish&Chips in all of GB. Not kidding. The cook has all the experience anyone can have concerning fish, obviously. This is worth mentioning and something to write home about. And then, in all the rising prices and inflation mayhem, it's not even expensive. Fish (be it cod bites, which are a dish of its own, be it cod or haddock) is fried to the very point of neither being mushy nor dry nor unbaked, just 100% perfect and then in this crispy, crunchy crust with so much flavour of its own. The fish itself is very fresh and has more flavour than I expected, very nutty, lovely. Chips are thick Flamish style and live off a very crispy exterior and soft interior with very potatoey aroma. I think, they're made Belgian style with 2 different frying processes at different temperatures. Lavish process, but the result is worth it. They have some of the rarest lemonades to choose from, as well. Something to contemplate instead of beer. I do, every time. Worth it. Caveat: Extremely popular spot, waiting times can be a bit longer. And: Dining in, you have to live with a stream of clients going through. Still: Hungry? In the area? This is the place to go. Outrageous value for money. Recommendation to the owner: Get some real vinegar in addition to the sauce you offer. That is the expectation when you come to GB. Yes, almost everywhere else, vinegar on chips is considered yuck. Tell someone from the Mediterranean that they should put vinegar on their French Fries: You risk to be fried, yourself. But in Britain, this just has to be. I love it."
