"I have just left this shop in tears. Went to order fish and chips with my 3 young boys. My 3 year old was having a tantrum and I was doing my best to ignore him. The older staff - a lady and a man kept looking at me disapprovingly. First they asked me to stop my children moving around which I did, then they told me to wait at the back of the store which I didn't quite understand as i can't order if Im not at the counter. When I finally had enough and asked why they are being so rude to me, the older man came bellowing over and started screaming at me saying to get out of his store and that if I write a bad review on the internet he will quote "come after me". I couldn't believe what I was hearing and told him not threaten me. He continued to say he will fined out where I am from and come after me. At this stage the woman and other customers expressed that he is out of line and I am visibly shaking. I go to this shop regularly with my family but will now no longer step foot in there. I have never in my life been treated so aggressively and threatened over a fish and chips review. I did not think of myself as someone who would write negative comments on the internet but I will also not be silenced by an aggressive and vile man"

"Certainly a big step up from its predecessor, this place has a great ambience and sublime views, right on the river. Good coffee, cakes and cafe-style food overall but quite expensive. I will probably stick to coffee meetups and afternoon tea here rather than lunch."

"Canteen style dinner specialising in Afghan food and Pakistani Curry but doing lots of other things. I ordered a Lamb Karahi and got mutton cooked in a very sour and bitter unappetising sauce. Naan bread was supermarket style without any great taste. Rice was OK but definitely not Basmati. There are better places in Crawley to go for a curry so I won't be back...but they do do Fish and Chips...."

"Cold food, slow service, Pepsi flat and no flavour. We arrived at on a Sunday. Two other tables in the whole pub. When our food arrived, my pie was stone cold. By the time the replacement arrived, the rest of my family had finished eating. Asked for more gravy times before it arrived. Our drinks of Pepsi, first glasses were flat, second tastes like soda water. The wasn't any better, in the end just asked for water. The manager was so rude and didn't want to know. Safe to stay we won't be returning again....ever"
