"Visited Hornsea on a fresh and sunny Saturday in October and we're very excited to have fish and chips in a still working fishing town. This was one of the best fish and chips we've had for a long time and was bonused by the fact that you applied your own salt and vinegar , which I haven't seen in the south for years. This fish was fresh and succulent, cooked to order, so a little bit of a wait, but oh so worth it. There is plenty of outdoor eating tables in the gardens on the opposite side of the road."

"Yay! at last it was about this visit in this beautiful caffe and was not disappointed! I had the hummus and the falafel package, which was absolutely delicious as the fresh salad served with it. I can't praise this place enough... wonderful, delicious food and beautiful, friendly staff please give it a try .... even if they don't vegan I can guarantee that they are not disappointed! thank you, youngs, we'll see you again soon!"

"We had a takeaway while staying at a lodge as the lodge oven was broken. Food arrived hot, but everything had came straight out of a deep fat fryer. Very limited menu, what I would expect from a cheap pub rather than an upmarket golf...resort. We had an outside table the following night, to find the menu was the same as the takeaway menu very disappointing. Added to there being no wine menu and the waiter not being able to list any gins on offer very poor. We won’t be returning"

"Well my wife and mother in law were treated very well on our arrival. We sat outside and ordered drinks. We looked at the reduced menue and chose our meals. They had fish and chips, I had beer battered sjrooms and chicken stroganoff. It all came piping hot, not greasy and the fish was a big fat fillet. Crispy batter that wasn't greasy either. Lovely setting and fab food, with drinks came out at just over a tenner each. Oh it's the best pub on this side of the road. Plenty of parking too."

"Having cycled around the Wolds all morning and found the locals pubs shut at lunchtime we decided to try here. We got the last free table. Absolutely no complaints from us. The staff were really pleasant and helpful and we had no trouble in deciding what to eat. What’s more the food was nicely presented and tasted great!"
