"We had lunch at the Aquacaf today. I gather it had a good profile in the local area some years ago. Today it was basic with no refinement and no chef in the kitchen I suspect. My wife had salt and pepper squid which was very nice but with soggy chips and too basic a salad; at $29, certainly not restaurant quality. I had fish and chips - Corong mullet with chips and a similar salad. With one glass of wine, a large bottle of San Pellegrino and two coffees added up to $81 dollars. The cost was far too much for a basic cafe meal in an OK setting with a view of the Goolwa lakes."
