"Ignore the outside and go straight in. You'll get a lovely warm and friendly greeting from Brendan the landlord. My Mum and I decided to sit in the garden area and ordered food. The food was excellent and the chef bought it out, top bloke. We went back for the karaoke in the evening and again the next day for food. Can't wait to stay in the area again and go back. It was lovely to feel so welcome by everyone and we are in our 60's and 80's."

"The prices are now extorted, appreciate the cost going up, but £25.60 for 1 small chicken kebab, 1 large chicken kebab, 2 sausages and 1 part of the chips is very much too expensive. will not go back because of the price. lady could serve with that. more friendly than an empty look and lack of basic manure do."

"Situated in a small Herefordshire village this was a lovely little find. The fish and chips were absolutely spot on. To make it better, you can nip to the pub opposite , purchase a drink and they are quite happy for you to eat them...in there. Thank you the Dog Inn. The beer was good too ! Opening for a couple of hrs at dinner time and a few hrs in the evenings , we would definitely visit again when this way."

"No complaints on the fish- though the chips were quite greedy and not nice- left a horrible feeling and taste in my mouth. But I saw them drop a frozen sausage, picked it off the floor, then chucked it in the fryer. I'm afraid that is a big no no!"

"Booked as a overnight stay while visiting the Hay festival, friendly owners very attentive and very helpful. The room vas fantastic, bright and airy with a great bathroom and shower. The bed was really comfortable it was the best nights sleep I’ve had in ages. We had food on the Saturday night, the burger was so good, And with some well kept ales that didn’t disappoint Breakfast didn’t disappoint, full breakfast cooked well and plenty of it. Food was excellent value. We will be back soon !!"

"Cooked to order , beautiful Fish Chips , fresh tasty Cod , golden batter , proper thick cut chips , Ketchup , Salt Vinegar in the paper ate on there picnic bench outside with a tin of Coke Cola hit the spot 10 out of 10 , great service will return without a doubt , just off the A465"

"Wow! What a great evening. Came where on a whim. Three great courses garlic mushrooms, battered Brie, two burgers, lemon roulade, chocolate fudge cake both with ice cream. Lovely wine. Excellent service, Execellent value, everything was super tasty! Our new favourite in Herefordshire!"
