"Visited on a quiet weekday evening, our first visit since the new management took over. What a difference! It used to be busy all the time. It was empty apart from a couple of people sitting in a booth. I ordered two Haddock Chips...and two Saveloy with chips. The total was I said that was wrong, the cashier said no, it was right. I insisted. He double checked, said he'd done something wrong, and the new total was Fish was freshly cooked but we got two small pieces of haddock each instead of one large he said their supplier had delivered the wrong size. It would have been nice to know that before ordering. It was overcooked, the batter was dark brown and the edges of the fish were dry. The chips were chewy rather than crispy, they'd obviously been sitting in the warmer for a while. Overall, we were really disappointed. A first class fish chip restaurant has gone well downhill. Avoid."

"Best fish and chips in the area. Our usual takeaway has gone downhill in the last few months so decided to give Rumbles a try. We were not disappointed. The portions are very generous, the fish was cooked to perfection. Batter was crispy and not greasy. Will definitely be going again."

"My favourite chip shop when I’m in the mood for a more traditional tasting meal. They cook with beef drippings so the flavour is different from other chip shops. If I’m in the mood for a cleaner taste then I go to Denny’s around the corner."

"Experience didn't get off to the best start when bar staff got a drinks order wrong, she didn't seem very attentive and felt like was a burden rather then a paying customer when queried. Food took about 30 minutes to arrive which is pretty standard compared to other pub grub, however even though the burger was succulent and was of good standard the fries arrived cold. When brought to the table I see they are still delivering with dirty towels, something which was brought up in a previous review and has apparently being fed back, well unfortunately this is still happening. The chap delivering this reached across me to hand to another member of our party which I found a little rude and ignorant. The whole experience was OK, and filled a hole but was nothing startling and think they are probably better places"

"This restaurant was very quiet when we went, unlike the busy seafront restaurants. That is a shame as it was clean, welcoming and had a good menu choice: The staff were all very friendly and welcoming and found us a quiet table to sit with our dog at the rear of the restaurant. The food was good; fish and chips and sausage egg and chips. Served hot and with a smile from all the staff. Definitely worth a visit."

"Amazing, visited while on holiday in kings lynn they had 5 stars, but they left a few bad chips in the bag, but they were delicious, curry sauce was really nice, fish is beautiful, but the skin remains on which a bit of a branch, but still tasty highly recommended."
