"We just happened across this restaurant as we were walking around and so glad that the owner caught our eye and talked up the fresh fish, so we decided to give it a try. It was truly outstanding!!! The grilled salmon was so good and the fried calamari rings were the best we have had on our entire trip through Australia. We have been craving them ever since!Would highly recommend you try Barnacles!"

"Had lunch at this cafe located in middle of Maroubra's cafe strip. That the place survives in this competitive setting indicates they must be doing most things right, which was our experience. We enjoyed our meals (Chicken Quinoa salad and the Mushroom bruschetta) and thought the coffee and juices excellent. Our only issue was that the service was somewhat slow, or at least inconsistent. And the place was not overly busy. It was a sunny day and we dined at one of their al fresco tables so really didn't get to check out the interior of the cafe."

"This place is huge and has lots of space of kids to run around. The food is simple and nice and very cheap considering its location. It menu has an Asian theme, which is a little unusual. The bistro looks out over Maroubra Beach. You couldn't get better views. Definitely worth a visit."

"In Short: Dining at Kitchen by Jamie can likened to going over to a mate’s house, a mate that can cook and serve memorable takes on the classics sublimely. Honest, delicious, well seasoned food with a side of generosity would sum up the experience we had. It’s hard to go past the Chef’s Home Made Pie or drop in for Fish and Chips."
