"Prices are a bit steep for what you get, but it is downtown Montreal after all. The curled fries are pretty good, and the fish and chips was quite normal. The restaurant has a diner atmosphere. The restaurant operates bilingually. The actual building is deep but narrow and there's quite a few tables."

"We were sat at a table and were not waited on for 20 minutes. We ordered 3 drinks and it took over half an hour to get them, AFTER having to ask multiple times. The pint of beer took even longer ? The (incredibly mediocre)...food actually arrived before the drinks. They brought us 3 mystery shots as compensation, but we asked for our drinks to be comped instead. The waitress said she couldn’t authorize that, so sent the surly manager over. Instead of introducing herself and asking us what the problem was, she just said “how is everything?”, forcing us to tell her the whole story. We explained we didn’t want the booze shots, and wanted her to comp our drinks instead. She refused and said she could only offer us a 10% discount. She was rude and I accommodating. Save yourself the bother and skip this place. A big thumbs down."

"My new husband and I recently held our wedding reception at Rosewood. After contacting numerous venues and restaurants, we are so glad we settled on this place! The level of interest and attention we received from the very first e-mail and each follow up phone call was beyond great customer service. Not only were those interactions perfect, the staff on the day of was exceptional as well. We got compliments from every one of our guests about the friendliness and service they received, not to mention how much everyone loved the ambiance and the food especially! We opted for a brunch-style menu and now, more than a month past, we still get comments from friends and family about the delicious breakfast poutine! Some have already returned and we certainly plan to when we're in Montreal again. I highly recommend it to everyone! Thank you, Rosewood, for a perfect experience!"
