"Order the fish and chips you can't go wrong. Yummy two piece. My daughter had a hot sandwich also very good. We sat in and were quite comfortable. Owner very nice and waited on us personally. So inexpensive I gasped. They also offer take out."

"They used to have a super delicious fish and chips, it was fresh and sooo yummy. They don't do the fresh fish and chips anymore, which is a little disapointing. I would recommand your fries always be poutined. I literally just had fries last time I was there, because of the freshly battered fish that they no longer serve."

"Stopped in for cute little lunch which ended in an upset stomach. We were provided cutlery with food still on them. We mentioned something and they were promptly replaced. She then brought us our waters but my glass had something in it as well as lip prints from the previous drinker. I asked for a can instead as I figured I’d be safe that way. Food was okay, exactly what you’d expect for a small diner. Seated next to the front door which was kinda chilly given the season and quickly cooled the food we were eating. Likely won’t be back."

"When we googled restaurants in New Glasgow, Louie's Drive up diner came up as a highly rated option. Being avid roadtrippers that love good local food, we seek out great food trucks. Louie's was a perfect choice. We enjoyed a great fish sandwich, and the sriracha chicken sandwich. These items were perfectly cooked, delicious, and just messy enough to be very 'foodtruck'. The service was great, the truck was very clean, plenty of picnic table seating that were all clean and well stocked with condiments. One tiny detail that we really appreciated, that is sadly overlooked at most foodtrucks, is hand sanitizer. When eating at a foodtruck, hand washing is often not an option, but louie's took care of that with Hand sanitizer at every table plus the truck. Worth the detour if you are not actually going to New Glasgow otherwise."

"We stopped in for a quick bite on our way to Cape Breton. The food was excellent. Quality ingredients, nicely cooked, and reasonable sizes. The menu is currently limited due to Covid, but we all easily found something that appealed to us. The building is...really interesting and there’s lots of interesting things on the walls. The real standout for us was our server. She was absolutely lovely. Great service, kept checking in on us, and she was genuinely appreciative that we stopped in to eat. The whole thing was a great experience and we would absolutely go back."

"Never having been to New Glasgow before, or even Nova Scotia, it was always a bit hit and miss where would eat. But the West Side Bistro was everything we hoped it would be. The owners were delightful and interesting - and the food was excellent. Enjoyed every mouthful."

"Had a great night. 1/2 price apps are great Saturday night 3-7 Dale playing acoustic guitar was really special with his friend playing flute. This is our place now. Great food fair prices loved the guitar."
