"Very nice. We went with friends who were there for lunch. We found dinner prices slightly higher than lunch, but not unexpected. We asked about beer and the server brought the whole selection and knew all the decisions. The beers were as described. We all ordered the French onion soup, which make them completely of ground. This includes her own bread and cheese. It was wonderful about the best I had. The Mussell's appetizer was huge and only $13. The endive salad was beautifully presented and the person who had it liked it. My wife had the Chicken Marsala and was very happy with her choice. I had the pork chop special, with a mustard glaze, potatoes and a small bean stew/cassolette. It was very good. We had three desserts, all wonderful, a Key Lime Tart, a Fruit Tarte and a Mango Guava cheesecake. Service was top notch."

"Cute little bar in MontClair. They had many tvs each playing something different. We tried an App of shrimp poppers and they were good but the portion size is small. This would be a fun place to watch games and eat apps and drinks for happy hour. I didn’t see a happy hour sign though"

"The food was so very good, the clam chowder was unbelievably good, but had mine with a scoop of crabmeat on top. After my wife tried to eat mine I reminded her that there's more in the back if she'd just order it. I ordered the Sea Bass and my wife said I was making love to my food. Yes It was that good. Great date night spot. Looking forward to trying the outside seating on a warm night."

"Really yummy! Sauerkraut was delicious, spätzel was on point. Pretzels just shy of perfect. Would have liked more of a beer list and definitely more German items on the menu, but a solid place nonetheless"

"This place is a oakland original of my opinion after! I moved out of the area and thought they closed all their stalls! thanks to my own determination to find them and Google cards, I found them again. the prices are of course higher, but eating is still great! I had the nachos with steak and a steak and garnel burrito! enough to eat for four meals when they are themselves. excellent afteros if you like them like me. look forward to finding fish and seafood, unfortunately no cash on the menu in the fruitvale avenue. I was brought to this point in the 90s! so glad they're still here!"

"The fish had a very strong smell. Possibly had been frozen for a long time. Additionally, it was falling apart and very soggy. Unfortunately, I was not able to eat my meal. I have been to this restaurant in the past, and had a positive experience. Im not sure what has gone wrong recently to affect the quality this way, but it is very unfortunate. I hope they are able to turn things around."
