"As part of my wife's birthday, a quick lunch. Were hit at the door by a friendly and smiling lady called Victoria who showed us on our table, they were very busy. We started looking at the menu and it was explained by Jules how they were a single cook and so they would wait a little for food. When we waited for our food, more people came in and we heard that Victoria explained the delays in food. Nevertheless, the majority of people who speak volume for how well considered the Waterside Inn with Diners remained. Despite the problems they worked with the entire team tirelessly to ensure that all customers were satisfied and updated. When our food arrived, it was well presented and tasted fantastic and excellent value for money. Overall a wonderful experience to make many thanks to Victoria and Jules for it so."

"Lovely setting on the harbour upstairs dining area has views over the harbour one side and beach the other. Not a huge range of choice, but what they did offer was done well and a little different eg falafel wrap was made with beetroot falafel, tasty roasted pepper soup, and the desserts were outstanding. The vanilla pod Cheesecake was incredibly creamy, while the poached pineapple was really unusual. Updated from previous review on 2021 10 02"

"We were pleased to see a few vegan options on the menu but were massively disappointed in the quality. We ordered a sharing plate of nachos with chilli but the portion was really small for two people and much smaller then other nachos plates going to other tables for one person. Not put off at the first dish, we then ordered vegan pizzas but it was very light on vegetables on top and the mushroom(I think there was only one) had been shredded to make it go further. Both dishes were pretty tasteless and lacked flavour. We won’t be back."

"I have often seen people float outside on deprivation fish and chips, but never had eaten. the decor is charming, tastefully late Victorian with framed Sepia photos of fishing in this time; the service was friendly and welcoming; the eating excellent crispy teig over pure white fish and the sauces on the table were brand new and unopened. babbacombe has two candidates for the best fish and chip shop in devon and since its main rival has been closed at peak-scoffing times, the advantage goes to drake’s."

"I find morrisons very competitive in the trips makes my weekly shop much more going.. But I was today very disappointed in the fish table, because the person who served was not able to take the membrane of the monk fishing for me. he said he was not a fish merchant. that didn't give me much confidence in what he knew about the fish. I think it would be a good idea to rent a fish merchant, I am sure that their fish sales would increase."

"Only stopped for a coffee and chips but the chips were great, lovely coffee and the staff were fantastic. Others were eating more substantial food and it looked really nice, pizza's in particular. We had two dogs and it was a bit on the wet side, they had towel for the dogs, if we needed them. We didn't need them in the end but kind and thoughtful."
