"This is a good fish and chip shop. It is run by an Asian family and the service is fast and efficient. The prices appear a little higher than normal but we have always got a bit 'extra ' when we have ordered here. Good fish...and chips."

"We were a group of 5 with a baby, family that rarely have the opportunity to catch up. my niece came special so I could get to know her new baby. she ordered first when she wanted to go home. (yes, we said it was an hour to eat) we came last and had our meal first. After two and half hours she could not wait any longer and went to the kitchen to see where her meal was, it was not even started. we asked during the waiting for their meal. she got her money back, but she went hungry after two and half hours and ruined our time together."

"I have been a regular customer of brooks traditional fish and chips for some time now , And have always found the standard of food to be very high indeed and value for money .. the staff and owners always make everybody very welcome to their shop with a friendly manner and excellent customer service .. it's always a pleasure to visit them .. I would recommend them to anybody and it's worth travelling that extra kilometre to experience the best fish and chips on the Southside of Brisbane by far .."

"We had a birthday lunch at Elysium. Never been there before but chose it on tripadvisor reviews. We were not disappointed.The regular menu is quite reasonable, the lunch specials were a bargain. The birthday girl is gluten free and that was no problem. The waitresses were exceptionally happy friendly patient and really knowledgeable.The food arrived promptly and was well above average."

"Had the standard hamburger and a middle chips. great bark pattie and there were two on the burger. even had rooted on the ground and the tomato was beautiful. the bungalow was good and the light mayo was perfect. chips were nice, thick and perfectly cooked. burgers took one because as she seemed to slow down, but wait was worth it. beautiful cool opposite to lunch near the water at the victoria point."
