"Stopped off here with our boat and strolled the board walk looking for a place to eat. We ended up popping in to Dundees due more to proximity to our boat than the magnetic draw of the decor.At first sight it is decent, clean and well appointed for a resto of its kind. Staff was good enough and no real complaints nor compliments to be made.I ordered the eggplant parmigiana and my girl friend ordered a salad and such. This is where things went south. I asked for a beer to have the waitress come back and say they were out of that type but it would be in a few days. I honestly was not planning on staying that long so I ordered another kind. No big deal, right? The food arrived and the salad looked good. Nothing fancy but it was exactly what was ordered. Now... the eggplant parmigiana was something to behold. Translucent pieces of sloppy eggplant in a lasagna style of layering. The breaded eggplant was nearing slimy and jelly like. A complete insult to any Italian who has made this for real. It's not often I call something disgusting but this was a true offense to Italians and eggplants alike. Just because you put an inch of mozzarella and no parmesan ( hence the name of the dish) it doesn't make for a good dish. As I said in the title.. order the smoke meat, maybe."
