"Staff was hopelessly overwhelmed during the week of the Sligo Jazz Festival. One must assume that management/owners are not willing to pay their waiters appropriately and thus can't find enough personnel. Shame because it's a nice venue and perfect for the jazz jams and concerts they hosted all week. Food is also quite good. Fair play to the staff who were there, they did the best they could and still got snapped at by ignorant customers."

"Fantastic meal as always, and delighted with how they are handling social distancing, this is one of the best set up restaurants in town to be able to accommodate new measures and they are absolutely complying with current guidance. Staff have clearly been well trained and are wearing proper PPE, and as per usual are friendly and prompt with service; we knew what we wanted quickly and I don't think we waited more than 5 mins for our order to be taken. Definitely worth a visit for that long awaited post-lock down evening out! Update: excellent service and food even for the Paddy's Day rush, still a top choice for us when dining out in Sligo!"

"Lovely staff, very nice decor. I got the smoked salmon with poached eggs, garlic yogurt and sour dough bread. I didn't eat it. The bread was very soggy, the garlic yogurt was loaded over the eggs and the eggs were running through it. Presentation could be improved. My BF got the breakfast bap, he liked his but the ketchup wasn't the nicest and ruined the flavour of the bap. The simple things like good ketchup and mayonnaise can go a long way."

"Booked here for a meal as the reviews on TA pushed me towards it. Great bar, great staff and creamy pints but unfortunately our food was not up the standards this establishment is known for. My starter was the chilli garlic prawns, prawns were cooked...perfectly and served with a tasty sauce. The chowder was perfect and can’t be faulted. Unfortunately it stopped there. I had the steak for mains, when it arrived to the table it looked impressive but then had to look for the steak which as covered in mushrooms, onions and greasy onion rings all of which left the steak sitting in grease and I didn’t really enjoy it. Pepper sauce and fry’s were perfect but it ya shame about the steak. The wife had the curry which was nice but a lot of grey meat in it which she didn’t eat. Overall an disappointing meal."
