"My partner and I have been coming here every Thursday evening for 2 years and i always ordered steak and ale pie chips and peas and been served a generous portion, last week i received the smallest piece of pie i have ever seen in my life (not even a child's portion)a handful of chips and half a plate of peas obviously to fill up the massive gap on the plate. Two complaints were made with nothing being done to rectify this or even an apology Needless to say my £110 per month i usually spend here will now be spent elsewhere."

"The food was beautifully presented and extremely tasty. Home made chips : We all had different dishes and we were all satisfied with our choices. The prices were very reasonable and the service was impeccable. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try as we will be coming back again very soon x"

"First visit in a number of years and we were not disappointed. A warm welcome, happy with the table for and it’s location in the restaurant. The venue was busy with a friendly crowd but was not full. We sat down and were passed...menus and introduced to the specials board. Drinks were served by a really cheerful and informed member of the team. Service great, food cooked to perfection presented well and in good time."

"The food was absolutely amazing, we have chicken fried rice and curry! the only problem was that the restraint could have opened slightly earlier as my kids were quite hungry, other than that 5 star, we will order again!"

"Better than all the rest! Tanan’s Fish Chips is a traditional old fashioned fish chip restaurant. Table service with a friendly warm welcome and the food is top quality. You won’t find a better place doing what they do anywhere else on Merseyside. Visited with DD and grandson for our annual pilgrimage to St Helens on my dear mum’s anniversary. She loved St Helens and she loved this chippy. Although it’s changed hands since she passed. It’s still the same great plaice and quality. Delicious and only £10.90 for fish,chips mushy peas and a fish chips, two diet cokes. Restaurant was full very quickly. Top notch service with a warmth unlike anywhere. Thank you Tanan’s keep doing what you do xx"
