"Went in to sit down and eat inside it was 6.42 and we were told the sit inside closes at 7 pm so couldn't be served . So we had take away we waited half a hour as they were doing tons of deliver orders . When we finally got them the chips weren't put on greaseproof paper so the paper was all soggy and the chips were just a load of mashed up chips"

"This used to be a lovely fish and chip shop, now they give you reheated dry chips. Ordered a large piece of fish, half of it was batter. Every time I seem to go the price has gone up. They have lost a loyal customer because of their greed."

"We stayed here for one night following a day out on the West Somerset Railway as it was nearby and had very good reviews for food and accommodation. We were not disappointed. Serena and Lucy were very welcoming hosts and we enjoyed a chat with them and learned that Ian Botham had stayed in our room (room 5) recently. The accommodation is well decorated and has a lovely shower. We were booked in for dinner and the restaurant area was buzzy and full of people which made for a great atmosphere and the service was very efficient. We then enjoyed a few drinks in the bar which was also busy with locals and visitors alike. This pub was a very good find and we enjoyed our stay."

"Me and friend play pool once a month, and have struggled to find a place that serves food and relaxing, because I am ex army and he is ex air force suffering from PTSD. We both visited the Ale house a few weeks ago and noticed they have a very good menu and decided we would give it a go for out afternoon out. Today, we went there and played a few games of pool and both had a ploughman's. Well, what can I say, the food was brilliant, the customer service was above and beyond and to make things so worth the visit, the atmosphere was so relaxing, we both felt at ease. So one a month, we will be visiting the Ale house and using the place for our monthly boys afternoon out. A big thank you to all the staff and management for making us feel welcome and we both will look forward to visiting you soon. On a very final note, i would recommand a visit and try there home cooked food with a nice cool beer. Gets a big thumbs up ftom me and my brother in arms. THANK YOU"

"This is a beautiful building so good that wetherspoons use this old building. meal was ordered online and delivered quickly and was ususal cheap meal. very disappointed that she worked 3 coffee machines and only one (intermitting). the above had no coffee machine during. the week as they turn it off?! bad setting to take when so many customers eat up!"
