"I have been refuelling ie coffee and cake, at the Boatshed at the end of my regular bike rides for the last 6 or so weeks. The venue is superb, outdoor and indoor seating, fabulous views over the marina, really friendly and professional staff serving great coffee and cakes. The scones with homemade jam and cream are really good - and a serve is 2 warm scones!! Great after a long ride, or walk, or just because they are really good. I have yet to have a meal there ie breakfast or lunch, but that shall happen soon as what I have observed on the tables there looks great. The patronage appears to me to have picked up over the past few weeks, but this is to be expected - do good coffee and food and they will come."

"We had quite a while to wait in Newcastle Exchange between trains and the Albion is close and was recommended. We walked there with our cases and had a very good meal. Service and food were both really good and the price was very reasonable."
