"I am unfortunately adding yet another negative review to what can only be defined as an extremely disappointing experience. Along with the small bugs that flew around the table was the experience of one shocking, tasteless dish after another. The entree was unremarkable and the sizzling tender pepper steak neither sizzled or had any sauce at all. The meat was far from tender and at almost $25 for a very small serve was flavourless, tough and dry. Most of the wine on the menu was unavailable. There was no music so conversations were overheard by the other patrons. It was a wreck of an experience. I took my friend there for her birthday and I will NEVER return. For a restaurant with 20 years experience this is shameful. Adelaide is full of amazing restaurants but this restaurant is not one of them. Judging by the other reviews this is also not a one off. I really do hope they improve and put quality at the centre of the customers experience."

"I was so excited when I initially heard about Ricky's chicken rice... Don't get me wrong, I think his food is good... My only problem is I love roasted chicken with my chicken rice but Ricky only serves steam chicken. Again it's my personal preference.. his other food is pretty average, the best is probably the chicken rice."

"Nestled in the quieter side of Waymouth Street is a brand spanking new Thai restaurant that goes by the name Kin Thai. The name was given birth with the concept that Thai people generally like to share their meals with family and friends, so it operates by inviting people 'to eat Thai food '.
While the restaurant itself might be fairly small and only able to harbour 18 people at a time, the ambience of this cute, little place is absolutely relaxing, with lots of natural lighting, cozy sofas, beautiful and colourful pillows, and enough chairs and/or stools to enjoy a feast with friends and family on a table.
What struck me most about Kin Thai was how there is a beautiful balance of culture and modernism under one tiny roof. It is apparent that the look of the cafe is meant to appeal to a wide audience who are both native to Thailand and those who have the exploratory cultural gene in them, which helps in appreciating culture that Kin Thai aims to represent through their food and decor.
Walking into Kin Thai on an empty stomach was definitely one of the better ideas I had, because almost everything on their menu sounded super delicious. A feast was in order, so we opted to try a number of items from their appetizers, mains, and dessert (of course !
First off was the Thai Curry Puff. The pastry was not overly crumbly, which is a big make or break deal for pastry based dishes for me. There were lots of delicious ingredients such as caramelized chicken, onion, sweet potatoes and sweet chilli sauce, which mixed together beautifully. The pastry tasted really nice both with and without the chilli sauce as the sweetness coming from it was subtle and pleasing to the palate.
No Thai feast would be complete with a lovely serve of Massaman curry with rice. While I was expecting this curry to be a bit more on the spicier side, it was still an enjoyable dish that complemented the rice in a brilliant manner. Had I not been starving, I would 've probably eaten the entire curry and rice dish by itself and still be satisfied.
They say that we have two stomachs one that 's the regular kind, and one that 's specifically designed for taking in the desserts. We may have been full to the brim with our all of our Thai goodness, but there 's no way we were going to leave without satisfying our sweet tooth.
Cue in the Kin Thai Kaya Roti. I was unsure of how I 'd find this dish as roti is not something that you would typically associate with dessert it 's more of a savoury based item. But, oh how glad I was to be proven otherwise. The roti was served alongside a mixture of coconut jam, sugar, coconut milk and eggs. The roti dipped in this mixture tasted absolutely divine and had a nice balance of sweet and salty.
Full review on the Weekendnotes website (with photos :"

"The flavour is they key strength of their food!! I tried couple of dishes for entrees, which were delicious and had generous portion size. Mains also had huge portions. Yellow rice was pretty ordinary, but the mains had all their food deconstructed in one plate(which was really good and you could enjoy every ingredient as well). Must go for those who want to try some sophisticated asian food!"

"Nanyang Cafe, my favorite Malaysian cafe!
Probably the only place that serves authentic Malaysian Char Kuey Teow! Nasi lemak and char hor fun were really good too. We're visiting almost weekly now and it's amazing!"
