"We’d rate this meal 6 STARS if we could! The 3 pieces of cod were fresh and large, the fries were plentiful, and the cole slaw and tartar sauce were the perfect complements to the fish. Hit the Request for Condiments when you place your order and you will get napkins, ketchup, and fork so you can easily dig in and start enjoying the meal. These people think of everything for their customers. Oh, this was our breakfast, so if you are craving Supreme Fish Chips (3 piece) for breakfast, no problem."

I feel when you open an eatery, every time the customer walks in, they should have the same experience. That makes a place exceptional.I have been to this establishment many times, I felt like reflecting on my last visit to this establishment the evening of July 13th, 2023, where I dined with a friend. There was no one to great me, which left something to be desired; however, my friend who was already seated inside texted me and I proceeded to a cozy booth, eagerly awaiting our dining experience.Fortunately, our server warmly greeted us at the right time , and our drink and food orders were taken promptly. We were not in a hurry for the meal, we opted for a selection that seemed well within the kitchen 's capabilities. I would recommend the local beer brew from this establishment, which never disappoints. The lighting was just perfect. The floors looked cleaned and the seating was comforatble. The background music, though slightly distracting, managed to coexist with our conversation. It might be worthwhile for the staff to check-in with guests from time to time and adjust the music volume to maintain an undisturbed dining ambiance.As a discerning foodie, I must acknowledge that all the dishes are delectable and manages to tantalize the taste buds with its delightful flavors. The food presentation that evening lacked the chef 's personal touch. The expression “eat with your eyes” did not come to my mind that evening. I felt like the kitchen was rushing to put out the meals. The pictures speak for itself.One aspect that deserves commendation is the exceptional service provided by the diligent staff. Across my numerous visits, I have encountered nothing but exceptional service from the servers, a testament to their dedication to creating a positive customer experience, reflecting effective training and leadership.Despite these minor shortcomings, my friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at this establishment. The pleasant atmosphere and friendly vibe fostered a welcoming environment. Notably, the parting greeting from the manager added a personal touch that left a lasting impression.In conclusion: This restaurant undoubtedly satisfies in crafting a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere for patrons to unwind and savor their time. "Brings back old fashioned GOOD SERVICE! Brought the parents and the husband here after seeing the good reviews. Didn’t have high expectations: just booze and pub food right? Wrong. Amazing choices and cool options. I had the ahi tuna bowl and it was fresh and filling. Everyone loved their food and we had such fun drinking the whiskey tea with our elderly parents (lol). Danica and Jay took the time to learn our names and have some great conversations with us which really gave the personal touch. I left thinking “It’s not IF I’ll be back, it’s WHEN”. Don’t think just come here!"

"A friend and I have been going to The Med for years, one of our “go-to” places for lunch. Tues-Fri they serve wonderful Pad Thai and Massaman Curry. We haven’t been in as much the past year due to the pandemic but were both really longing for our delicious favourites. When I arrived I advised the staff that we were both vaccinated and would require a server also fully vaxxed. Instead of the run-around I have received elsewhere in the city (no names but I’ll just say Rockwood Park) I was graciously informed that all of the staff at The Med are fully vaccinated, that the owner gave them all the time off to get vaxxed. So in addition to always great food and friendly service this is an absolute must for people wanting to support responsible restauranteurs who care about the well being of their staff and their customers."
