"Eta was 55 minutes for my online order (for 2 fish and chips when i turned up and I was given some marker thing and told that when it lights op my order would be ready. I then had to stand outside in the freezing cold for another 40 minutes, seriously. (Why have a online order booking? The staff where really busy but also really rude and obnoxious. It's definitely NOT worth the wait. Take your business elsewhere. Other friendly locally owned businesses would be more than happy of your custom. Would give zero if I could."

"What a fantastic Wee café. soupe, sandwiches, pannini, hausbäckchen etc with all who go to the local community where it is used for local projects (plants in the region etc.). the employees are all voluntary and were very welcoming good parking immediately outside, but remember to get a free parking disk (I have one in the super market directly opposite the caffe"

"Got a fish supper and a side of salt and pepper squid. The salt and pepper squid were amazing, perfectly cooked nice and tender. The chips were very nice aswell. However the fish was not good, the batter was unbelievably rock hard. I could bearly get through the batter to eat the fish. After snapping some of the batter to get to the dry chewy fish, the batter splintered and went flying everywhere due to how hard it was. Had a few bites of the fish and started to smell an ammonia odour which is not good. Gave stars because chips and squid was nice but fish was NOT edible. Will not be returning."

"Has to be the very best fish and chips, I have visited both the restaurant and take away, both are excellent. The staff are top class, and the food is amazing, sitting outside overlooking the harbour has to be the best location for a fish and chip shop, massive selection of meals, I cannot fault it. sadly Yelp show t as Montrose, it is just outside Inverbervie in a real Scottish fishing village called Gourdon. If you are on the coast road, well worth a visit closed Monday and Tuesday, but times change so best to check"

"My only complaint was I was only staying one night ! We were in the family suite , the rooms were spacious, warm and clean. The shower was powerful , always a bonus . The bar area was very cleverly sectioned to provide a feeling of intimacy although you were in a shared room . The hosts were friendly and informative and I enjoyed 3 or 4 drams off the excellent single malt gantry with some impressive guidance from the owner . The full Scottish breakfast was of excellent quality and very well cooked . nice coffee too Throw in the breathtaking scenery and what’s not to love ! I’ll be back in the better weather for more than one night ,for sure ! Food drinks: Great breakfast , fantastic whisky selection"
