"Beautiful pub. the girl that greeted us was very friendly, showed us on a table of our choice and took our drink order. my wife and our two friends are vegan, so they had the nut roast, but I had the bark. the meat was very tender and came with a lot of veg and there was a lot of it. the beer was on (roasted nuts) and there was absolutely nothing to complain. we've been and won't make any doubts. interesting urinals."

"Despite all the good reviews we were really disappointed. Taking a late booking we arrived to be told that there were only two portions of carvery left as they had been very busy, we were then told if they were running out then they usually phoned those who have booked. We received no such courtesy. The staff must have been really tired from their busy afternoon because we had to wait for an hour before seeing any food. We didn't order a dessert (much to my grandson's disappointment) simply because we didn't have another hour to be mucked about. The food was in decent sized portions but the quality was distinctly average. Prices are about what one would expect. Unlikely we shall visit again I hope they can up their game. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1"

"Very clean and well presented. The staff are friendly and efficient, the food is good and so is the wine! We had a main meal and a salad bowl each. I had a glass of wine and my husband had a cappuccino. I was really hungry to begin with, so the fact I was slipping into a food-coma before even getting 3/4 of the way through says a lot. I was also amazed when the bill came and it was for £26! Also, the fact they don’t automatically add a service charge is refreshing. Obviously we requested to add one anyway. I will definitely go back."
