"Rude staff Ignorant staff Food was awful. Asked for salt vinegar which was added for me but I think the woman serving was too busy chatting to realise she'd put so much on. Won't be returning. Just to add...not enjoying the food is one...thing but to have to deal with unpleasant staff isn't acceptable. I suggest some training in customer service! The customer pays your wages!"

"A warm and welcoming atmosphere. not loud, we called a weekday during school holidays and did not notice children. the staff was very friendly and helpful. no separate vegan menu, no vegan mayonnaise, vegan options clearly marked on the menu. beyond burger was amazeballs. had to pay for BBQ sauce as this was the only vegan sauce that was laid on my burger. not specified 5* due to limited options for vegans. jacket potato/burger /pizza. eating was hot and tasty like. would definitely visit again. updated by previous review on 2021-08-16"

"If cold fatty food is your thing then it’s for you, if you like hot, fresh tasty food then it isn’t, cold chips leave a fatty coating in your mouth, batter absolutely dripping oil and ruined my trousers, I went inside the shop and told them my wife threw her horrible cold chips in the bin, they all just stood there expressionless and no offer of replacement, don’t go here, go anywhere else for better quality food and service."

"Outstanding freshness, quality, service and a great price. Ordered 2 small fish, 1 chips, 1 curry and scraps. The fish were a good size. Really fresh.. and cooked to order.. perfection. Non greasy and extremely tasty. Light, crispy batter encapsulated the white, flaky fish. The chips.. enough for two.. were really good. Hot, soft and the potato quality spot on. The curry suace.. hot temperature.. traditional green/yellow and nice and thick. Very tasty. The scraps.. huge bag.. dead crunchy.. and actually not greasy! Despite being what they are! Recently award 5 star hygiene again... and no wonder... brilliant family team. Service brilliant as usual from the cheerful, polite owner. A credit to New Waltham."
