"We often stay in the inner harbour area of Victoria in late April to escape the last throws of an Alberta winter and get some early green & flowers. This year we took transit to the Art Walk in the Oak Bay area and stopped for lunch in Oak Bay Village. The Oaks Restaurant was getting full about 11:45 on Sunday so we got seated just before the final rush. A special tip of the hat to Meghan for her smile across the room and the menu delivery even though we were not her table.We enjoyed our fish taco and BLT - the quantities were good and the service vg.We were back in the area three days later for lunch and actually had Meghan serve us about 1 pm as the lunch crowd was leaving. We had another good meal with a chicken burger and blue cheese / mushroom burger.We enjoy walking around Oak Bay and were glad to find the Oaks Restaurant. We will return the next time we are in Victoria."

"Marginally acceptable, Long wait, no wifi. The senior fish chips comes with about 20 french fries and a little piece of fish, lots of batter. Nothing special there, it's just a much smaller order. No WIFI so not recommended for out of towners looking up maps. Be careful pulling out, cars are going 80+ kph about 55+ mph"
