"Table booked for 16 people, 3 round tables together gave plenty of room. Plenty of choice on the menu and they did a brilliant job of getting food out to us all as quickly as possible. Food was lovely tasty. If I have any complaints it would be the size of the portion of scampi. Ordered the ultimate plate and only got 9 pieces and around 12 chips with mushy peas. I’ve had larger children’s portions! Other than that it was a lovely relaxed evening with family and all staff was really nice."

"Was excited to go sample the food after reopening. After being told the kitchen wasn’t fully open but some light meals could be offered we stayed . We shouldn’t have bothered it just all seemed like nobody knew what they was suppose to be doing . However I will give it the benefit of doubt and see if it was just teething problems and try again when they are up and running properly"

"First visit to the restaurant but will definitely be back. Lunch time service was excellent and so was the food. We arrived at 11.40 and by 12.30 all the tables were full."

"Myself and the wife visited on the way home from work as we had heard good things. I must admit, when I first perused the menu I had a strong inclination towards Kev’s jumbo sausage, but the wife said I had to have fish instead. The selection of soft drinks is amazing : dandelion and burdock, cherry cola, limeade and American cream soda among just some of the treats available. But the main event was the jumbo cod and chips, liberally splashed with vinegar and salt, with a couple of sachets of tomato ketchup for good measure and a few onion rings on the side. It all tasted so fresh I had to go outside at one point and check that we weren’t at the seaside, and that the fish hadn’t just been unloaded from a fishing trawler and cooked for our delectation. However, obviously this was not the case, as we are in Wakefield many miles from the sea, lol! Kev we will be back!"
