"Savoy's serve REAL south indian dishes and biriyanis. All the dishes which i tasted during a week stay in Edmonton was super good. My kids loved it and we had dinner from Savoys for 3 continuous days during our 20 days visit to Canada which...normally doesnt happend during our travel. This was especially due to the insistence of my 12 year and 7 year old kids. The service staff is super nice, especially both the girls who attend the table."

"I hate rice. I'm Indian by ancestry and grew up on it, and usually I won't eat it. Same goes for curry. But Damn. The 'coconut rice' and the flavour of the seafood curry just overpowered my dislike of this food. There was this crispy chicken dish that was fried without being greasy. I was so upset this was a business meal because I wanted to take pictures and get those leftovers! Eat here. Decor is upscale too so it made a good spot for a business meeting despite the food being a delicious distraction."

"A group of four sat down to dinner recently at the newly established Sri Lankan restaurant in south west Edmonton, Alberta. We started with two appetizers - both of which were freshly prepared, especially the lentil vade, which was hot off the pan. Our dinner order of chicken biriyani with rice, chop suey, egg-plant moju, fish curry and vegetable fried rice was of adequate quantity and very delicious. The chop suey served on a bed of rice was made with fresh vegetables. The eggplant moju a special Sri Lankan style deep fried and marinated dish was exquisite! After our meal we were served with a range of Sri Lankan desserts - watalappan, coconut toffee, mango custard, lemon custard and bibbikkan. They were all fantastic and reminded us of our motherland's cuisine. The staff were very friendly and helpful in selecting the right quantity to order. Overall it was a very satisfying meal. They are open all days of the week and serve Asian, western and Chinese food. I highly recommend a visit, the next time you are looking forward to an authentic Sri Lankan meal or otherwise."

"We thought we had a groupon for this place but were corrected by the server. The groupon was for a location in West Edmonton. Nevertheless, we ordered the mysore masala dosas, and they were delicious like always. Have been to this restaurant a few times before this year. The food quality standard is consistently pleasant. The staff service is friendly and quick. The restaurant and washrooms smelled and looked nice and clean.Great place overall!"
