"The food here is good, but sadly I can't say the same for the service. The restaurant wasn't even that busy but for some reason it was just impossible for us to get service throughout the night. It took a good 30 minutes before we could get the waiter over to take our order, and our water glasses were empty the whole night because we couldn't get someone to come over to refill them.<br>

We ordered dips to share between the three of us so we'd have something to munch on before our mains came. Unfortunately the waiter failed to advise that the dips were not really designed for sharing (despite the fact that dips are naturally a sharing dish...). The dish turned out to be two small slices of toasted bread, each topped with a different dip. We awkwardly cut the toasts up into small pieces and ended up having a bite each. I'm baffled that the restaurant thinks it's OK to charge $15 (ish, can't remember the exact price) for two pieces of bread and some spread.<br>

I feared that my beef tartare would come at a bite-sized serve as well. Luckily it was not the case. I was actually quite impressed by the dish. It was excellent quality and the beef was extremely fresh and well seasoned. I also quite enjoyed the polenta chips and roasted carrots.<br>

Honestly the food is good but with so many other excellent options on Waymouth Street serving up food that is just as good, if not better, I'm not sure it's a big enough incentive for me to return."

"I have been meaning to put this review now for awhile and just had not had the time to bother to do it. But it affected me so much and I had to tell the story of my foodie experience at this restaurant. So I went to this place a couple of years ago to celebrate my graduation. I know it has been two years but till today I still have not gotten over this place. I had the lobster ravioli. After a couple of hours when I got home I immediately fell sick and had the worse diarrhoea I have had in my life. I actually fainted and took me many hours to feel slightly better. I could not believe how bad the reaction was. I was so sick. After paying about $250 for our meal, I was not only sick in my stomach but out of pocket one of the most expensive meals I have had at that time. I have not been back to that restaurant and will not be going back. It was awful."

"I’ve never sent back a meal in my life, 3 fish burgers all grossly over battered and way over cooked dried and shrivelled on the inside of the batter. One was totally inedible and sent back, couldn’t even get through the batter with a knife been deep fried to within an inch of its life. Chicken tenders unpleasant, described by the diner as “weird mush” definitely looked like something I wouldn’t want to eat. So food was terrible. I’ve cooked in many restaurants, you can see if something is that over cooked and you don’t send it out! Service was good, waitress served quickly and got food out fast. Be a good place to meet friends for drinks, great beer range. Just don’t eat there."

"The chicken is to die! The charred taste is so delicious! Its by far one of the best coal chickens I tasted: the chicken carving was very delicious, with the chicken very tender and the bread was extra crispy, but not excessively oily. The red jus sauce paired well with chips and chips. The restaurant was very lively, with live music and indoor and outdoor seats. All were very friendly!"

"Couldn't have been happier with the food or the service. The waiters were all delightful and delivered excellent, old fashioned class to their service. Meals were excellent and portion sizes were great. Only problem was no room left for dessert! A good wine menu of Old and New world vintages as well."

"We held our 40th school reunion at the Treasury 1960 and had a fantastic night. We had a private function for 28 people and the venue was just perfect for this occasion. The manager, Anna, was accommodating, efficient and professional. She made sure that everything ran smoothly and ensured that the vegan in our group was catered for. Anna helped set up a presentation screen and a memorabilia table which added to the success of our evening. All of the staff were lovely and service was great. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, with a beautiful ambiance and the food was delicious. My steak was amazing and the sides were so fabulous. The duck fat potatoes were particularly scrumptious. I would definitely recommend The Treasury 1860 for any event and I will most certainly return again."

"La Boca Bar Grill was just as amazing as the first time I visited. Taking a newbie with me this time had them sold on going back again. The express lunch menu is absolute quality at such a reasonable price. Each mouthful of the...Wagyu Rump (which actually ended up being scotch fillet, so even better) was divine and it melted in your mouth. The sides were equally as delicious. The service was outstanding and we can’t wait to visit again."
