"Having visited this restaurant numerous times from the mid eighties onwards for some fifteen years I was looking forward to trying it again. Originally on main road but now bypassed by new N125 and probably considered off the beaten track as a result. Locally owned when I first new it. Went through a period under overseas ownership English ? which led it to going downhill and put me off returning. Stopped for daytime coffee in recent years but as we stay in Alvor thesedays do not visit of an evening. Present owner been there some 13 years it seems and food and ambience as I originally remember. I opted for grilled sea bream served with potatoes and vegetables. Excellent! My girlfriend opted for grilled swordfish. Again excellent! Home made chocolate mouse for afters. Again excellent. What more can I say? A must visit next time in Western Algarve!"
