"My husband and I are local and walk past the Poole Arms at least twice a week for nearly 10 years but have never been in, shockingly, until now! We hadn’t booked but were lucky enough to get the last table inside which wasn’t reserved. We were served by Rachel and ordered 6 Poole Bay Rock Oysters really tasty, decent sized oysters served with tobasco and lemon wedges, would have been nice to have something like horseradish or diced onions to go with it, followed by a Cheddar, Ham Stilton Ploughman’s each really tasty good quality produce with very large chunks of cheese and lots of ham, this could have done with a bit more bread to use with all the cheese but other than that was great. The food took a while to arrive but we overheard that the kitchen was short staffed. We will be back soon for dinner, but will book ahead of time to avoid missing a table!"
