"We ate in this delightful venue last night, with views overlooking the Ponti vecchio. The staff were extremely welcoming gracious and professional, the food was delicious, showing skill and flair, all in all a lovely place to eat and soak in the atmosphere of Firenze."

"Great service, food was excellent. Chilli rellenos stuffed with crab was delish, my wife had the Caritas also great. And chocolate cake for desert was delightful... and a man playing the harp was also entertaining. Three tunes then he moved on ... it's a couple of blocks up from the malecon but worth the effort."

"I love the eclectic design of this place. They have a main dining area, an air conditioned portion that would be great for a group, and an open balcony. I had high hopes that dinner would be as interesting because I do like food from southern Mexico. They make the salsa at the table and along with it they serve homemade tortillas, a creme sauce, and pickled onions. I really like pickled onions but these should have been soaked in the lime juice a little longer. Service was friendly, I have to say they were trying a little too hard, but that is better than not trying to please the customer. I have had Cochinita Pibil before and loved it, so that's what both my friend and I ordered. It came with more salsa, some guacamole, more pickled onions, accompanied by tortillas and broth. Cost was a reasonable $149 Pesos. It was not bad, but it wasn't near as flavorful as when I've had it in the past, so for me this just was not anything special. My friend who had never had this entree before, agreed that it was alright, but not memorable. I will say it is a large serving for the price and beautifully presented. Lots of other reviewers liked their Cochinita Pibil so maybe it was not prepared with as many spices as is normal. Since it was a generous serving we ended up taking leftovers home for lunch the next day."

"My family and I got into Puerto Vallarta, we found el dorado and decided to try it out. However, they were completely full. The hostess got us a spot and Alfonso and Leo were our servers. They made the entire night! Everything was great and...we are so grateful for them and the staff. We had an excellent night and would highly recommend el dorado. Our server Alfonso was spectacular, thank you! Merry christmas"
