"This bar and grill is on the top level of Bondi Junction shopping centre and near the cinema so it is perfect for grabbing dinner before a movie. It is a large restaurant so not too many dramas with it being booked out. I went with my family for dinner and service was prompt and friendly. We got some amazingly soft and sweet bread to start and a few drinks. All of the table ordered a steak of different cuts. With the exception of one, most steaks were a tad over (ie the medium rare was medium, the medium was well etc. The ones that were cooked effectively were the rare ones. That said, it is quality meat that was very nice. We got a range of sides like sweet potato fries and stringy onion rings which were great. I like that the menu is super large, you can choose your sides, sauces and order extra additions. In the higher price range so suitable for a special dinner."

"Went there for lunch, first impressions were very good. Waitress took our drink orders then came back for the food order. After waiting for almost an hour and our food started to come out and we still hadn't received our drinks, asked the waitress twice how long the drinks would be and each time she said they are on their way. Food was average, nothing to rave about. If you want good tasty Greek food I highly recommend Apollo or alpha. We sat there for almost an hour with empty plates on the table, before I ask for someone to clear the table and order desert... the wait staff were not very attentive. Ending the meal with vanilla ice cream baklava that was icy with rolled oats in the middle was disappointing to say the least!!"

"For the price we paid you would expect the steak to be perfect and the wait staff to come back and ask how everything is. Not here! But they did come back and say there was a problem after we paid. The problem being that...when we split the bill 3 ways, we had miscalculated and we had paid 70 cents short. Pretty pissed that we were never asked how the meal was and there was never a chance to rectify it and the 70 cents was requested. Again? Doubt it."

"All the food at Ash Street Cellars is nice but a little unsubstantial, perhaps a bit too simple in nature. Don’t get me wrong, I would certainly return. What Ash Street Cellars is good for is probably a ‘ladies lunch’ or a ’post work’ catch up with a girlfriend where you want a delicate nibble and a gossip. It would probably also meet the ‘first date’ brief fairly well when one is keen on meals that are too substantial."

"Practical café/restaurant next to the concert hall. next to the concert hall is this café/restaurant with friendly staff. eating is fresh, although the decor is not. I ordered a Thai beef salad and my colleagues a chicken caesar salad. while not well presented, both meals were plentiful in size and tasty. coffee was reasonable. the busy businessman adapts to looking for a hiding place or a pre-concrete eating."
