"We’ve ordered from Fonda before and got/get the Vegan Nachos and Vegan burrito bowl. This time, they didn’t inform us that they were out of sour cream and replaced it with jalapeños which we didn’t want, and then in the burrito bowl there was about 2 teaspoons of rice. It’s very hit or miss as sometimes it’s been good and other times it’s lacked ingredients."

"We dined at La Cabra anticipating the government is likely to shut everything down again shortly if things don’t start to rapidly improve and wanting one last glorious meal not eaten next to my makeshift workstation. As someone who ate out pretty much daily prior to the initial lockdown I can’t convey just how much I missed the atmosphere and change of environment. And naturally the food<br/ <br/ The food here was delicious. We shared a pulled beef quesadilla and then I had prawn tacos whilst my husband had a beef burger. I’m not sure what was particularly Mexican about said burger but it certainly looked impressive. Plenty of flavour in all the dishes and the texture of the pulled beef was perfection. <br/ <br/ Hubs has been here on an almost weekly basis given his office is in walking distance and I’m of kind offended he’s never once thought to bring me. Would definitely return for one of their weeknight specials (Taco Tuesday’s looks intriguing!"

"We had the feed me menu and we were definitely fed! We almost couldn’t fit in dessert but we did! Every single dish we had was so tasty, from the corn to the tacos, and the frozen margaritas are only $8 every damn day! Massive call but this is my favourite Mexican restuarant in Melbourne! It was busy on a Tuesday night, that speaks volumes!"

"We had a lovely dinner at Tokosan on a Friday night. The place is conveniently located just less than 5 mins walk from Prahran station. Upon walking in, we immediately fell in love with the decoration!!! It has a very modern Japanese vibe like the name Tokosan (see pictures). As for food, we ordered Pork ribbies, tempura prawn, raw spicy tuna (temaki rolls), salmon and tuna sashimi combo and drinks. Food came out so quickly and service was friendly. The sashimi dish was very fresh and the hand roll sushi were flavourful. The ribbies were paired perfectly with dippin sauce and it’s an interesting dish. We would highly recommend this place for a party functions or just a chill night out."

"Overall score: 21/25 or <br/ in 5 words: best Melbourne fish and chips <br/ <br/ Review: There is honestly nothing I have ordered here that I didn’t love. Historically, we have always played it safe and went for the chef’s tackle box which came with the best calamari rings, prawns, yummy fish and well fried chips. <br/ <br/ Today, we decided to be a little extra and ordered the chef’s platter for 2. The portions were really generous and I could easily say that it’s the best money spent. The only downside is that if you order the standard fish and chips PLUS the chef’s platter, you might end up with more fries that you can handle. <br/ <br/ The chef’s platter $85)had at least five different types of seafood and clearly an indulgent dish. My favourites were the fried anchovies, teriyaki salmon and fresh oysters. The fish burger and tacos were a tad cold by the time I got to them eating is clearly a game of strategy and I should have prioritised that. Drinks wise, I really enjoyed the pear cider too so refreshing and perfect for a summer day. There’s a reason why there is always a queue at this place!
