"I’ve visited the original Cholita Linda location in Temescal a few times now over the years and really enjoyed their food. This restaurant is another location of theirs in Alameda which was more convenient on my trip so I stopped by. Food wise everything tasted delicious just as I remember. I’ve tried all the tacos over the years but the Baja Fish is my favorite and now just order multiple of them when I visit. The fish is super fresh and pairs nicely with their housemade crema and salsa. Make sure to top it off with a bit of the orange hot sauce. On this visit, the Alameda location service was a bit slow despite there not being too many customers. I’ll probably stick to the Temescal location, but definitely be back for their tacos! "The food was hit or miss and the service was poor. The food:A few of the dishes were good the steak, lamb and fish tacos and some was mediocre the wedge salad was not a wedge and lacked flavor, and the short ribs and burger were pretty bad. The fries looked like they were frozen from a bag. The service:The waitress seemed new so there were a few minor flubs wrong order, incorrect bill that were totally forgivable. But, the biggest issue we had was that the food came out at widely different times. In fact there was an hour between when the first main was served until the last one was brought out. And there was no apologies for it. There was only one waitress and one cook in the entire restaurant, so we understood why, but for the price we were paying, the service should have have been much better. There were only tables occupied the in the whole two hours wee were there, so it’s not like it was busy"

"It was the okayest Mexican food I've ever had. Flavor wasn't there. Service was good. Staff was friendly. Restaurants a bit on the dirty side, but not terrible. The biggest gripe was just the lack of flavor in the food. Still not the worst Mexican food I've ever had. It was just the okayest."

"Oh, man! we sat in the back terrace, inviting, beautiful, quiet room to eat! every bite of authentic food, salsa, house made beautiful, relleno tasty. a impeccable service and cadillac margaritas to die! many thanks that they again have a great atmosphere to eat and wonderful delicious food. the best!"
