"We have arrived for happy hour drinks 4 mai tais and were not disappointed! that were quality mai tais. we also decided to get a few riders to keep us until the dinner was served on our sunset dinner cruise. they were very well seasoned. the host and our server were very friendly and give us the proper attention. was a great experience. we strongly recommend to stop when they are in the harbour of maalaea from any reason. it was pleasant to see how the chickens walk outside."

"We had heard a lot about this eatery and wanted to try it because of the chefs attached to it. Located in downtown Wailuku on Market Street (hence the funny name of the chef and the street mashed together) right next to the Historic Iao Theatre. Not much parking right now because of the Wailuku Development parking complex shutting down the public parking lot, but if you are patient you can usually find some 2 hour street parking within walking distance. We thought it would be expensive, but the dishes were reasonably priced and the portions were good. No giant overflowing plates of local food, just good portions of well cooked, interesting fusion bites you probably wouldn't find outside of a hotel here on Maui. Dine in is down a flight of stairs, so you actually done underground which is pretty cool. It's open air because of the lanai area being open above. That does bring me to the only down side of the place which is the giant bamboocha flies that attack you while you are eating. It was distracting! Other than that, great place!"

"That was a wonderful place to eat. It has the best tacos! The cook is very detailed, he loves what he does and it shows in his food. He explained everything in detail so that I knew exactly what I got and he was on site. The staff was friendly and the environment was relaxed. Everything was perfectly cooked, the wort had exactly the right amount of heat and everything was fresh. The combination of the vegetables was fresh and unique and gives the tacos a new flare."

"Food was high quality, as the other reviews noted. But we had to wait 50 minutes for it. We arrived when the parking lot was almost full (around lunch time), and after placing our order and paying, were told that it’d take 20 mins. As we’re on vacation and our time is precious, I didn’t appreciate the way our time was handled—the owner should’ve said before we paid, that it’d take 50-60 minutes, because we would’ve gone somewhere else and perhaps come back later to try the BVC."

"After some disappointing food truck experiences the day before, we were elated at how good this place was. We had the loco moco with beef and the portions were excellent. We wanted to celebrate our survival of hwy 340 and this was the perfect way to do it.Tip...PLEASE read up about hwy 340 before taking it. I enjoyed parts of it, bit it was super intense and my wife was NOT HAPPY. thank goodness we finished in one piece and had a wonderful lunch at Ula ula afterwards.Try that loco moco with beef patties!!After seeing their 4.8 star rating I'm not surprised. Well done."
