"After visiting a couple of sights in Belem, we were walking along Rua de Belem on the lookout for some lunch. Lots of café type establishments, but nothing jumping out. But Martins Correia Goncalves had a cheery chappy on the street chatting to passing tourists. Normally I try to avoid desperate sale jargon, but the tables set outside on the pavement were in a nice we sun trap.A quick look at some of the other customers food looked too good to miss....so we took the chance. Sardines and salad for me and pork chop and sausage for my wife..... a couple of drinks and tip was 30 euro. All very nice , hot and tasty,lovely sunny day, and plenty of street action made for a very pleasant time. A bit of bone in the sausage just proved to me at least, that this was a real sausage as opposed to the mass produced type that you get. This was a buzzing wee restaurant, and the chef and front of house staff are responsible for this for sure."

"The soup was delightful!!! The potato skins were also great and the 'Alheira ' meatballs were nice.<br/>On a different note the 'Linguiça com ananás ' was a bit too sweet for everyone.<br/>Great ambient and service, very nice employees."

"The minute you walk in you know this is a place that is ONLY about food prepared the way mother' does she was in the kitchen in control of everything.
