"My wife had a really delightful Sunday brunch at the Owl yesterday, on our way home to Gainesville from west Florida. Everything about the experience food, ambience and especially service (thank you Desiree! was absolutely top drawer. Can’t wait to return."

"The service and the food have gone down tremendously since we were here at the beginning of the year. We ate almost every meal in the hotel which was about 5. So when I tell you the service was not great at all and the food was edible-I know! We waited Sunday morning for 15 minutes to be seated for breakfast as 3 servers walked by and told us they 'd be there in a minute. Then it took another 40 minutes to order and our food was cold bc she forgot to bring it out when the order was ready. We are big fans of this Inn and cafe-please don 't allow it to go downhill."

"You come to this town for Oysters. Oysters they have but they just don't make the grade. I thought there was a law regarding the size of Oysters that can be served. I have never been served such small Oysters, some were no bigger than my thumb. The raw shucked were good but the fried ones were way over cooked. I also wanted something else so Shrimp grits sounded good, but they were out of grits all they could offer were grilled shrimp, 10 small semi grilled shrimp on a plate....tha'ts it folks for $22.00 some were only half cooked. I was not impressed with this restaurant at all."
