"Unfortunately, because of covid the auberge ravoux is now closed and will be reopened in something like martyr 2022. when they go there after this date, they will visit safely. that is if they are a real van Gogh fan and/or want to know a little more about his life, the last 70 days of it. for some what they get to see can't be much. Now, they could say it's not a big thing, it's just a room, a very small one that doesn't have any furniture inside. what is important in this small room is not the missing furniture there is not because it would not be authentic. it is what they remember from vincent's living struggle to make a living among very difficult circumstances to end. it is about the feeling, understanding, experiencing what it is to live in such a small space, compared to the millions of dollars are willing to pay for his works of art today. it is about getting as close to the man and the artist as possible. it's about understanding what vincent was and is all. in silence. without noise. it's stunning. it's a moment when you don't forget and take away with you and the little movie that tells you about vincents stay in auvers is really well done and quite informative. this place is the place about art and about vincent in auvers safe. Don't miss it. I didn't talk about the restaurant, but I really wanted to make a clear difference between the two. the place is small. authentic. very elegant, with local food. some people will say that it is also pricy. but the least I can say, and I have sat on this table many paintings, is that they really get worth for money. eating is good, delicious. it's a tasty bite. if you want to have a bite, they take their time and make sure to book. there is never enough space for everyone. the auberge attracts a lot of prople and exactly like that. "I had lunch on Sunday 26 August with my partner and I can say without exaggeration that we were extremely disappointed with the meal served. On the one hand, the cod was served with non-cooked potatoes, on the other hand, the chicken supreme was translated by a simple very dry chicken white.
