"Spring stops this year in Münsterland! And when the sun comes back with warmth, the Münsterland sits on the bike, the Leeze, the Fietse and the Münsterland also call the vehicle and shines through the area. They are hungry and because my wife and I were straightened without a big plan, just enjoying the sun, we were looking for a bit later lunch. I remembered that a colleague told me about the golf course restaurant in Bad Bentheim and had offered this warm kitchen on Sunday. In short, the return was still in danger, because my wife could no longer break away from two extremely cuddly and handcuffed highland cattle on a meadow, only hatched, but eventually after a lot of strings. Beef was removed from my wife's diet this afternoon. South of Bad Bentheim, on the edge of the Venn, is the golf course of the Euregio Golfclub. I've never been there, but I'm not playing golf, not even mini golf. The parking lot was full, but there was still a place for our bikes, even if the parking lot was already well filled for them. After entering we were kindly greeted and the question of a table ended with the indication that the terrace at this tournament day was reserved for active players and should have only one table in the guest room. For a meal outside it was a bit too cool, so a table in the modern and brightly decorated guest room. In addition to many guests who were obviously not golfers, my colleague had already reported that the house would enjoy a good reputation in Bad Bentheim. The number of visitors spoke for it. We took place and the cards were handed over to us. A relatively short card offered us. Grafschaft Bentheim typical with a focus on meat. Both salmon fillets were stabbed or damped, and thus completely through, not dry, but personally I prefer a roasted, roasted starom with a beautifully glazed core. But I admit that the guest group there in the restaurant probably doesn't want it. Both plates were accompanied by delicious roasted potato halves, and a salad plate for both of us stood between us. It wasn't much to criticize for his preparation. A good Vinaigrette was on it, Rucola gave a small taste by Bitter. The two poor winter tomato slices went to the side. For a dessert it was no longer enough, see flame cake. So a good espresso and we have closed our lunch at the restaurant Termühlen. The ladies and gentlemen in service dominated your job and gave little reason to criticise it, which was very neat. It is also a good conclusion for the kitchen performance. Meat can take the kitchen that I took on our neighboring tables, the portions were large and also good after appearance. "In 2019, Gina Duesmann and Lars Keiling rated their restaurant with 2 Michelin stars in Bad Bentheim. And for me, a ten-year-old chapter ended in my life, in which I could say full of conviction when I was asked, in Bad Bentheim my favorite restaurant stands for top-class pleasure. I remember my first spontaneous return when we were surprised at a Saturday evening by Lars Keilings (then still starless and simply opened) kitchen, this evening was a kind of revival in the beautiful area for me. After the continuation of their engagement in Osnabrück, the abandoned premises in Wilhelmstraße 9a became the successor, only the name Marija, from the Balkans, and settled with their gastronomy in this new location. Since then I was standing in front of the restaurant's windows (I work in Bad Bentheim) and I always refused to return there when the language came to Marija's restaurant. Too many worries were involved, and also the fear that I would not only judge the food in the new restaurant. The new concept is of course not a fine food, but a Mediterranean, oriented Balkan cuisine. The card can be viewed on the HP. But again there was a after-home ride by bicycle from work in Bad Bentheim to Rheine. And then we connect them with a dinner on the way back. There are some potential goals. This time we wanted to return to Bad Bentheim. And so it came that we slipped the wheels, stupid headstone pavers, the Wilhelmstraße towards marketplace along the house 9A. There is a sign: Bad Bentheim's most beautiful restaurant terrace. I can confirm this from countless beautiful evenings I spent there. Woman looked at me, it was nice weather, perfect for terrace. I swallowed, but she had already won. All right, we asked for a place on the terrace and had luck, there was another table for us. All places were occupied over the evening, on a Wednesday night, respect! Brauerei Schirme would not have come to Mrs Duesmann on the terrace, but I have to force myself not to make too much unfair comparisons. The first thirst was distilled with pilgrims and water. Then the boss came to the table and brought the cards and a daily offer on a slate table. A three-course menu for 35 EUR was offered. Fish or meat could be selected on both the first and the main course. I liked that, and I ordered the offer with the meat skating in the middle. The woman chose the fish remover from the menu (like me), and a risotto from the solid card. In the meantime, a kitchen sauce in the form of baguette (baked persuasion goods) and a herbal butter that is not explained in more detail were served. My question about a wine card ran into the void, the wine card is in the head of the boss. So I asked for recommendations. The question was how far our likelihood would go in wine. It goes very far into doubt when we offer exciting things. We trusted the boss with the announcement white, dry, lots of body, like wood and matured. This bottle came to the table. My first wine from Bosnia-Herzegovina. If I understood it correctly from the grape variety Zilavka, it could also be the cultivation area, or both. No matter, the wine was still extremely closed at the first swallow, but it has gained more expression than it became warmer. He remembered bone dry, acidic mice trampoline, had a perceptible wood note and a minerality that initially very predatory, but then slowly into the background. That was exciting and the wine would accompany us well through food. Our appetizer came from the daily menu for the salmon. Orange-marinated salmon was announced. On the plate there was a really neat look that was lovingly executed. The salmon was still raw inside, slightly cooked outside, maybe briefly steamed, and then marinated. In the end, he seemed very short to sleep. Pure fish aroma with acid through the orange, simple and a pretty good appetizer. Marija and her team had given us a good start. Shortly after the salmon there were two supplements. Fresh, clean vinaigrette, a leg salad as you want to be served, no more, no less. The terrace is now completely filled, the two ladies in the service had all hands to do because the way from the dining room with theke and kitchen is quite long on the terrace, everything has to go down a narrow staircase. My wife served her risotto. Primavera called vegetarians, with seasonal vegetables. In her risotto found green asparagus with good, sufficient bite. The Risotto was also well prepared, beautiful spicy, the rice was one with a lot of strength as it must be. The only criticism that went beyond the optimal path that was already a little too soft. But this is a small criticism, especially in our area, a Risotto al dente would probably also draw criticism. I served my meat dish. Flanksteak with swollen calf cookies, grilled vegetables and Polandta was not really Balkan grill, but looked very delicious. There was plenty of butter on the bottom of a beautiful spicy polnta, not too dry! An intense frying and grill. There was a fine-grained butter-tarte piece of veal berries, juicy through all the collagens that distinguish this piece of pork. Because this is not enough for the Balkan cook as a meat quantity, he had added tranches of a well-ripened raft steak, medium grilled. I was happy afterwards and positively surprised, a delicious dish was that. Dessert from my menu we shared. Coconut ice cream with mango and papaya was a good conclusion for our dinner. We had fed very neatly with Marija. The two ladies in service had good to do on the full terrace, kindness and attention gave no reason to criticize. So I can finish. Despite all worries, when I think of this place of past palate joys, I must confess that we have served a very decent meal and had a good quality overall. I was satisfied and must finally close my peace with the fact that the place I visited is no longer. For those who are not on the soul, I can highly recommend a return, it feeds and drinks very neatly with Marija."

"There's something to report about Bad Bentheim. A colleague had reported about the new castle café in Bad Bentheimer Burg and that was positive. And then I always tap the ears when it comes to good experiences in a gastronomic operation. The Ferdinands followed the café in the gate of Bentheim Castle during Corona and opened it again last year. The Easter Saturday evening was still unavoidable, the weather promised to be good and so I finally discussed with my wife the plan, a bicycle tour for a dinner in Ferdinand. Reserved is easy with a tool on the HP, the confirmation email reached me shortly after. So it went back to Bad Bentheim for dinner by bicycle from Rheine. Shortly before 6 p.m. we arrived there, and as you climbed the back of the hills, you stand in front of the castle of the princess family Bentheim and Steinfurt. It lives in Steinfurt a beautiful water castle and is sometimes also in its castle on the Bentheimer Höherücken. The facility is certainly always worth a visit. Large parts of the castle complex are open to the public against entry. The gate house and the atrium can be entered without an entrance fee and, as already said, there was always a café in the gatehouse. Bicycles are placed at the bottom of the road, then the steep headstone pavement road goes up to the arc. High Heels should wear woman first. If you cross the bow, go to the beautiful terrace that is on the left side of the gatehouse. This was not a theme for dinner at 6:00 p.m. on April 16th, 2022, because in the shade and therefore too cold. We turned the door to the guest room. Conveniently, the rooms were renovated inside and renovated with a sophisticated country house style. This could please, through the windows a lot of light fell into the room and it was nicely bright. The tables for 2 to 6 people define the upper room at the bar. In any case, my question was answered afterwards, which was not a reason for the service to accept our cabinet and hang it on the hook. So I went on the way, and woman looked into the map. Back to the table we were first ignored and I could follow the shift change activities of the service team. We were told sometime and we could order our drinks and food. Maintenance of the ordered was then done very quickly and the service took care of us the next night. Water was ordered and a Rheingau Riesling was served by Schumann Nägler. Cooler for the Ferdinands Edition of this very gentle cabinet (my arrangement) without large corners and edges. An exceptional appetizer department does not offer the card, we shared a flame cake. Lachs called. Lachs Crème fraiche spring onions Dill should be on it. The dough probably Convienience, but no one expects a restaurant with the claim of Ferdinand that he is made himself. All that was advertised was found in acceptable quality on the dough. We were happy, but we wanted some creative appetizers for the future. Gratin was tasted with cream, salt, pepper and lots of nutmeg. And also the other supplements could please. Also on my plate there were really good grapes and vegetables. Bentheimer Herb Brewurst, Grobe Herb Brewurst vom Bentheimer, Landschwein Grillgemüse potato gratin from the classic part (big word, if you were a year) of the card I had dictated the young lady in her block. And even though I saw my wife sneak with pleasure at eating her entrecote, I didn't have to regret my choice. That was a very well selected coarse herbal sausage! In combination with the delicious supplements, an equally delightful dish from the kitchen of Ferdinand. We were satisfied after the two main courts. Who is not saturated as we can choose from a few desserts. This hasn't happened to us anymore. We have closed with a Gin Tonic, the selection of the bar is well sorted. From Tanqueray came the two gins, once the Rangpur and once the Flor de Sevilla, cast with the very clean Tonic Water by Thomas Henry. Then we went through and I can draw a little conclusion. The newly designed ambience is very well managed and offers a pleasant atmosphere. When the service has changed its layer, it acts concentrated and attentive. Enough the staff is there, even though the majority of them seem to consist of secondary servants. This can be a problem (but it does not have to) if the routinely trained restaurant specialists are required for a reasonable service at/beim guest. Our visit night gave no reason to complain until the beginning. The kitchen had delivered neatly, the selection (up to missing appetizers), quality and dishes were good. Why shouldn't we go back? Definitely in summer for an evening on the terrace. The view to the south of Münsterland is very beautiful."
