"We had read 'foxbox17's' review and it convinced us to try Istra out, and boy are we glad we did! She was absolutely correct about there being a small language barrier (but everyone was friendly and we worked right through it), and it was great to have the warning about not having a menu and there just being water and wine. Which was fine with us because it made a perfect dinner! We had a seafood platter with fish, prawns, calamari, and vegetables; and it was delicious. We truly enjoyed the wine and the food so much, the atmosphere was lovely, and to top it all off, it was so reasonably priced. I would recommend Istra to anyone and would definitely go back if I find myself in Berchtesgaden again."

"Den positiven Bewertungen anderer Gäste hinsichtlich Freundlichkeit können wir leider nicht beipflichten. Vielleicht haben wir ja den falschen Tag bzw. eine Aushilfe erwischt. Vorab das Essen war soweit in Ordnung, bei meinem Gericht wurde leider Sosse statt über dem Fleisch hauptsächlich über die Pommes Frittes als Beilage gekippt, so dass diese ziemlich matschig waren. Jedenfalls waren wir zu Dritt im Akropolis, und nach Bestellung vergingen ca- 45 Minuten ohne dass das Essen serviert wurde. ein Freund hat dann den Ober sehr höfflich gefragt, wann denn das Essen kommt. Erwartet hätten wir eine professionelle Antwort- im Sinne der Gast ist zahlender Kunde und kann eine ebenso höfliche Antwort erwarten-in etwa wie "es dauert heute leider etwas länger, da viel Betrieb ist" etc. Stattdessen die Reaktion des Obers: "Wir sind hier nicht bei Mac Donalds"! und solange würden wir noch gar nicht warten. Um den ganzen noch eines draufzusetzen ist der Ober dann noch in meine Privatsphäre eingedrungen, nimmt einfach meinen Arm in die Hand mit Uhr und deutet darauf! Sorry, aber so ein Verhalten geht gar nicht! Wir waren alle 3 einig dass wir hier nie wieder hingehen. Schade eigentlich denn die Aussicht von der Terrasse ist toll."

"The first evening of the holiday in Berchtesgaden should, of course, be spent in a typical restaurant of Bavarian tradition. "We had lunch with our 3 yr here. It was lovely. Garden is big, almost full, but relax and quite. You can really enjoy either meal or drink here. We had haxe and ribs, they are all good. Big portion, also good quality. The drink was a bit expensive. We had a good time here."
