"Had a private room upstairs, the Library, for an 18th birthday celebration with family and friends. The venue is lovely, everyone's food was good, reasonable portions and tasty. The staff who looked after us were nice too, chatty and pleasant. The bill was little overpriced. The landlady was awful though, unfortunately this is what will stick in our minds as the experience of that day. Just no way this woman should be in a customer facing job let alone be a publican."

"Visited white heart on the recommendations of some friends and I must say that it is not disappointed. we were served by a very polite, polite young lady, who was very attentive to all our needs and when we chose an outside table, she was most attentive to getting our drinks and making sure everything was in order. eating from the menu and eating was really excellent quality plentiful and tasty. they would recommend a bacon brie caramilized wobble with salat and a side of cheesy chips (yummy) or tuna cheese bap, (proportionate sizes excellent) also a large selection of flavored gins and flavored flaschen ciders. had a fully satisfying meal and will definitely visit again. highly recommended. 3 of us dined drank for less than 30 £ less than a tens of a head with drinks. excellent service and day trip"

"We had a wonderful time with our family and friends in this pub. the staff and manager were friendly and friendly enough to let us use the winter garden part of the pubs for our reception, and allowed us to decorate it as we wanted. it in the night before our high-time blessing. we had carvery this day and it was delicious! the staff even gave us two free bottles of wine, and I thought that would be really generous enough. and when we were finished, they congratulated us again and gave us another large bottle of wine as a gift. my man and I were really touched by their gestures, good service and generousness. even our family and friends were impressed by the food and service. we come back to the next time in england. we recommend it percentage for those who like a party, high time etc. with family and friends. that would be the right place!"

"Me and my partner took our 2 big dogs on a lovely walk to this pub, we sat in the outdoor area and our dogs loved it! The food was lovely but we only ordered chips and onion rings so not to sure on there main dishes. Prices was fine and the staff did everything they could do help us. We will definitely be coming back again! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"Came with my partner and little boy for a rare meal out, ordered 2 mixed grills, kids meal and some sides. Everything on mixed grill was lovely except for the gammon which was horrendously salty and rendered the meat completely inedible unfortunately. The reason for my low stars didn’t lie with the food, but sadly the staff who appeared rude, aloof and watched our table like hawks for the entirety of our meal, at one point there was 3 staff and the chef looking over and staring. It made us feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable throughout the duration of our meal. We left half our meal and paid immediately not able to get out of the uncomfortable experience quick enough! Was a relief to leave those doors and we shan’t return under any circumstances. Avoid this establishment. Paid £70 to be made to feel like we’re doing something wrong!"
