"We had an event here in the private dining room upstairs and it was exceptional. The staff made us feel so welcome. The food - uh-mazing (only remembered to take photos of nibbles + dessert, mains were gone so quickly). We ordered pretty much all of the small plates; the curry peanuts and warmed olives are awesome drinking food if you were just going for a tipple. We had the KFD 'Kentucky-Fried Duck' and it was as ridiculous as it sounds, for mains we had the pork and lamb - and desserts; do yourself a favour and order all 3 (plus the cheese, while you're at it) - they were a bit spesh. Thank you so much Public for being so warm and accomodating with my 9 wk old baby too; made the event so much more relaxed for me!"

"Dined Friday night. Location good. Service was disappointing. Food unimpressive. Had nachos which were very dry did they forget the cheese) and expensive. Not good value. Would not recommend this place for a meal.There was a guy playing guitar and he was good. Perhaps just call in for a drink although my wine wasn't very cold. Not much to like here."

"Very busy at lunch time in Brisbane CBD.I ordered a small beef yakiudon and some spring rolls.About a 5-10 minute wait so not too bad.Very generous serving even for a small size.I couldn't eat all of it.Kids/anyone can watch the food being prepared through window. A good value cheap eat."

"When I was on the way to work, I thought I would try this place I went to most days. I ordered Teriyaki chicken and a curved prawn avocado sushi rolls. they were packed in a paper bag that didn't go so well around the bag. So when I got to my destination, the garnish and the avorolle looked through the paper bag in my pocket and I had to throw it away. And the Teriyaki chicken tasted like dosen thunfisch. it wasn't nice or what I expected."

"I had lunch here on the 20th of August, I was waiting for the New South Wales Country Link coach service to Casino, so I went to the Roma Street Parklands and decided to have Lunch at Melange Cafe and Bar. The food was well...cooked and well presented. the staff was polite, well dressed. The restaurant was very clean. I was given a free bottle of water, which was much appreciated. The food arrived on time, I didn't have to wait very long. I do recommend this restaurant to other travelers visiting Brisbane, and other travelers wanting a meal before catching a train or a coach."
