"The Red Bus will drop you off here. Top Tip - Book your place on the Green Tram to go to Cabo Girau on arrival, reserve a table with a view on the garden terrace for lunch, walk around the village including up to the church, take photos, have a harbour-side drink and then return to this shop / restaurant for a leisurely lunch before boarding the Tram. The menu is not extensive but the food is great...try the black ugly scabbard fish - its surprisingly tasty. You will also be given a madeira wine taster. Buy some madeira cake here too. Lovely."

"On the first day after the arrival to madeira to eat traditional Portuguese food and was surprised to positiw! the great selection of traditional seafood in combination with the view of the sea and the mountains made for a great lunch experience. the personal is. friendly and everything goes smoothly. we returned back here to try other dishes and got the same great experience! would definitely recommend!"

"Large restaurant, has a bit of an industrial feeling. Limited choice of traditional food, prepared perfectly. Lot of waiters running up and down, but they are not allocated to tables, therefore the service seems a bit uncoordinated. We received half of the starter immediately (the soup). After it was finished, we waited quite a lot of time for the other part (the garlic bread) and drinks. The main dishes arrived immediately after. Then waiting for the coffee was also a bit long. We have a general feeling in larger restaurants in Madeira that the attention of the service is concentrated to the 2-3 tables where the recurring local guests are eating, the occasional guests are served in the remaining time."
